Hoping to start the Devil Next door this week. Good reviews as stated above.

I started Justified a couple weeks ago, really enjoying it. Show on FX that is done (like no more seasons so binge watching it on Amazon Prime, assume it's on Netflix too)

Justified is my all time favorite..........Nothing like a US Marshall in Harlan, Ky.............characters in this were great

Watched about 90 minutes of The Irishman earlier tonight before flushing it.

I recommended Mobdeeper as rx poster of the year. His threads and posts about Lamar Jackson and black qb's this season are more entertaining than The Irishman.

What most people don't know is that Hernandez was eventually declared not guilty.

Looks like even though after the suicide, the conviction was "abated" by a Mass law, it eventually was reinstated, because the law was overturned by
the Mass Supreme Court

Aaron Hernandez podcast by the Boston globe was way better I thought by a stretch than the Netflix doc. But they covered similar stuff.

My wife and I started watching You on Netflix last week. It's a how to stalk someone thriller with some twists. Pretty good so far, through episode 4 I believe.

Finished the Devil Next Door, got a bit long but worth a watch.

1) The Wire
2) Breaking Bad
3) Sopranos

If you havent watched any or all of these series, start with those. Those are 3 essentials IMO.

I still haven’t seen the wire.

watched the first episode twice and was crazy slow.

I know many people who have this show as their number 1 of all time.

I got through about half of season 2 and I quit. It wasn't awful but I don't understand all the love for it but different strokes for different folks

Great character development and the setting for me. IMO it's the best cop show ever made. Also they did something really unique in that each season focuses on a different aspect of society. Granted, some seasons arent as great as others, but the writing is top notch. Interesting that you got through the first season and didnt like it. I agree that it does start slow but most i know that gave the first season a chance were hooked by the end of it.

I was reading about how much time and effort went into converting the show to HD because it was originally framed in 4:3 for SD. I had to appreciate how much David Simon cared about getting this show right.

Count me as one of those people. The first few episodes are really slow. You have to finish the first season before realizing the brilliance. After re-watching you start picking up on things in like season 4 that tie into first season. For example, there's a character, I want to say it's Marlo, who has a background part in one shot of season 1 and is never shown again before becoming a prominent character is season 3.

Watch the entire first season and if you still don't like than it might just not be for you.

It wasn't awful just didn't hook me. I even tried once to go back and watch it again thinking I missed something but just didn't love it.

2nd seasons the worst season. Probably why. But if season 1 didn’t hook you probably not for you.

Season 4 probably the greatest season in television history.

Still think Sopranos is the greatest show of all time. Not one bad season. Show gets better as it goes

Netflix- Peaky Blinders (Gypsy Sopranos Like) need subtitles to understand the thick irish or english accents.
