I would try getting a Canadian IP (proxy), Canadian mailing address, and a Canadian bank and tell Neteller you have moved to Canada. You should be able to get your money and also gamble online too!

Why do I get the feeling that it's not as easy as that? And, if indeed it is as easy as that, I'm sure that loophole will be closed by the middle of next week. All they have to do is put a freeze on address changes for U.S. accounts.

Thanks to those assholes at 2+2 poker forum US citizens will probably never be able to get their money. Sklansky, Malmuth and Ray Zee can all go to Hell!!
It's the poker players that caused all this heat in the first place. All that high profile crap promoting gambling sites on TV. When offshore sports betting was just a niche business there was no problem. The poker gambling sites were like John Gotti. Just rub it in the government's face. Don't get me wrong,
BOS, BetUS and Bodog are also to blame. Pinnacle, CRIS, Olympic are all low key. Meanwhile the poker players are fighting to get poker exempt from offshore gambling laws. Where's that leave us with money stuck in Neteller. I know it won't happen but I just want one big Internet poker site to go under and stiff everybody. It will be poetic justice as far as I'm concerned.

This is quite possibly the dumbest shit Ive ever read. People on 2p2 helped tons of people get there money off of Netller. If you had a small balance (under 10k ) and you werent able to get it out you are a fucken retard. The debit card worked for almost 2 weeks. I managed to get over 60 k off neteller from 2p2. If you couldnt get a few thousand off you ate lead paint as a baby. I still have way to much on there but to blame 2p2 or poker for this is retarded. Poker became widespread becuase of televsion. They dont telvisise sportsbetting tournamnts on espn all day.

If anything you have it completly backwards. The govenemnt is more after casinos and sportsbooks than they are after poker rooms. They have been trying to close sportsbooks for years. Youre probably a fucken degenerate loser anyway which is why you wouldnt mind seeing people get stiffed by a poker room.

They've said you can change your address, but you need ID from the new country and proof of address with utilities...

Yes, but I see a pattern here. Once people start to do it, they will stop this just as they have stopped every other way to get money out of Neteller. International customers watching this unfold should take heed. If Neteller gets pounded in court, non-U.S. customers will likely be in the same boat as U.S. customers.

You are wrong. Poker aggravated the problem. You wanted me to send my money to some stranger on 2p2. I realized it worked out for most people but you had to weigh the chance of getting ripped off to leaving your money in Neteller. Neteller was freezing some of these peoples account so my money would be in limbo with some person up in Canada. The cost involved was the 3.9% peer to peer fee along with 4-5% to the person receiving the money. And why do I blame the pokerooms, most of the money in my Neteller account came from them. I took it out after places like PartyPoker dropped businesss with U.S customers. Pinnacle is only about 20% of my money currently in Neteller. At the time I thought my money would be safer at Neteller than in rooms that gave up on US. These poker sites are on TV advertising using that .net vs .com crap. CRIS doesn't run ads. As I said the Poker end of offshore gambling is the John Gotti, the 800lb gorrilla. These players are sitting there bragging how they won hundreds of thousands playing online. You see sports bettors talking about how much money they won at Pinnacle, CRIS or Olympic. You see them doing TV interviews. Do you think nobody at the DOJ reads
Cardplayer Magazine. As I said the BetUS bus, Calvin Ayres didn't do anybody any favors. Their publicity pales in comparison to the Poker players.

P2P recipients also having their accounts closed. NETeller only requiring ID and a bank statement to reopen, however.

Glad I got the balance of my funds out this week. I feel like I dodged a bullet.

Given what has transpired over the last few weeks if I was not a US customer I would not feel safe using Neteller. Their credability is shot in my opinion

I totally agree. I have access to Neteller and would not place a penny with Neteller at this time.

It will take Neteller at least a year to regain its reputation after it pays US users (If it pays US users)

Jackstraw- why are you mad at people on 2p2
They helped people get there money out

Neteller was freezing some of these peoples account so my money would be in limbo with some person up in Canada. The cost involved was the 3.9% peer to peer fee along with 4-5% to the person receiving the money.

On 2p2 2 people got ripped off for a total of 1500 dollars. The people who ripped them off were such obvious scammers and 3 year old could have seen it coming. Sure there was some risk in getting ripped off, but I decided it was less than the risk of neteller ripping me of and work the 5 percent TOTAL I had paid (transfers are 1.9 percent not 3.9 and most people only charged 5% with the neteller 1.9 percent included)

The fact that you want poker rooms to start stiffing people shows how fucking stupid you really are. If millions of people start getting stiffed left and right thats just gonna make it that much hard for you to do any kind of gambling online.
This is Netellets fault and the US governemts fault- stop making excuses for them.
