They have a lot of extra screening that they offer to help identify any potential issues. Not 100% but can give you a good sense pretty early for most risks. Some might cost extra but worth the peace of mind. Best of luck whatever you choose. Not easy but you will love being a dad if it comes to be.

Kid will be fine. Just tell her to visualize a healthy baby (law of attraction, she'll know what I mean), eat organic, and don't use a lot of chemicals to clean with and things will be perfect. My moms best friend had a kid at 48 and her hubby is 53.

Yes, technically there is more of a risk having a baby over 35 but its not as bad as people think (anymore). That idea is very outdated and never really changed with the new levels of medicine we have now. Treatments and life expectancy is far more advanced. Having a baby in your 40s is as safe as its ever been.

I will say this though, make sure you REALLY want to have that kid before you decide what to do. Having old parents is hard and having old parents that dont give a fuck about you is even harder. When he/she graduates high school, you will be 61.

Yea man keep it.

You will know if the baby will be healthy in time.
You will think about the what if’s everyday for the rest of your life if you don’t .

Everytime you see a kid that is the same age as your would be child you will think about your what if child.

You will never not think about it

Test came back negative! Says a 98% accuracy rate. How accurate are these things?

At least I can breath a little better. Haha.

Since you referred to her as "this chick" twice in the OP, shows how much little respect you have for her.

not that's a bad thing, just pointing it out

Once the child is born, you'll know you made the right decision. Be there as a good and loving father, you'll have a great relationship for a lifetime with a few bumps along the way.

As for birth defects, I wouldn't be the least bit concerned, that's bullshit especially since she's living healthy. You don't live your life worried about the exceptions to life
