Okay I went out and played the front 9 today from the whites today. It is the much easier side. The 4 of the 5 toughest holes on the course are all on the back nine. I shot a 10 over 46.. I had 2 pars, 5 bogeys, 1 double bogey, and a Fn triple. I 3 putted the Double bogey... The triple was on a 175 yard par 3 with a very elevated tee box, with water surrounding the front and both sides of the green. I pulled through (not hooked) my tee shot right into the water... The drop zone is 50 yards from the middle... I thinned the shit out of it to the rough in the back of the green.... Made a decent chip to 8 feet and of course missed the putt for the ole 6. It was a very fun day. I cut it short because the ole knees were tender as hell.
My group and I are playing in a 2 day 4 man scramble this weekend... Man I can't wait because its going to be so much fun. I'm really going to work on my 120 in game this week and going to hit the practice green pretty hard... Hopefully I can contribute in that fashion. My short game and putting use to be really solid. I should be able to get it back to being good with a little work.. That's the only part of my game that isn't brand new. At first I was having trouble with being so much shorter than I use to be. I may get to hitting the ball some further but ill never be "long" again... My lower half just can't take to much torque... In the last couple weeks I've really embraced the new swing. I am very pleased with my first 3 rounds. I use to be a decent golfer so I probably shouldn't be pumped about a 98 and 46 but I am. I think my irons will continue to get better as will my short game but I have to find a way to get off the box better.
