Need Help on how to cover a parlay 8 team win with only 1 game remainging (Gb/CHI)

I'd put small bets on bears spread and ml......and then place an open parlay with bears to the open spot to assure yourself a big payout if the bears happen to win.....

you obviously are hoping for a Packer win by less than 4,which would win your parlay,win your bear spread bet,and you'd lose the bear ml,and open parlay.....

would be a monster day,good luck

Some books will let you leave open spots in your teasers.

One thing you might consider would be to play a 3 team 10 pt. teaser with one open spot on

Bears +14
Packers +6
Open spot

play it for like 3k, hopefully your parlay cashes, then you'd be sitting on a nice 10 point middle opportunity on the last leg of the 3 team teaser for another 3k.

Use the Open spot to play something like Dolphins +11 vs. Giants and come back on the Giants -1 for another 3k.

just thought I'd throw that suggestion out there, although you'd be taking a risk if the Packers were to lose by more than 6 points.

Thanks everyone...dont' know what I'm going to do yet... i thought bears would be a heavier dog on this one by now.

for those of you who question why i would bet packers if i really want to bet the bears..well i have two reasonings that i could go after

1) to bet heavy on the moneyline for the Dog with basically winnings accumulated by the not yet complete parlay. i do this when i feel strongly about a dog game and WHEN i am up for the season. (for example say i bet $1 8 team parlay to get around $150, i win 7 of the 8 games..with the last game in the parlay being -200+ , i would bet between 75-90 on the dog on the moneyline. I think of it betting one game stongly with the books own money)

or

2) hoping the packers get heavy action to their side and get the bears with the points. To hope packers win below the bears spread.

anyway thanks for everyone's help...probably will hedge some on the money line like JMan said ..just waiting to see how much i can get and where.

Listen to Jazz and the gang, you've already won money, but don't let greed make you let it ride, crunch a profit with Chi on the ML for at least 1/3.

Always hedge anything 3 to 1 or better if it has an isolated start time from the other parlay teams..Crunch a profit always & look for a window to middle with!

Right now you can get the bears +5 (-110) at rebel and I would imagine at beteuro too if you are looking to middle for the whole game.

That would be the safe way to go. Im not sure what your payout for the parlay is, but if you have enough outs to make a wager at halftime I would wait til halftime to see how this game goes myself.

how would you go about betting at half time......i don't get why i would wait til half time to bet?

The advantage of waiting til halftime is that you can see how the game is going with the score,momentum,injuries etc. Taking +5 before the game may not be enough to win that bet and thus cut into your total payout on the parlay unnecessarily. Right now its 10-0 packers and if the game keeps going this way the packers will be getting points on a 2nd half bet and you could then jump on the packers 2nd half,knowing youve got the ML for the game wrapped up on your parlay.

The 2nd half line is a pick'um. Now if you take the bears you essentially have them at +18 for the game. THat is one hell of a middle. Im sure you can see the value in waiting on halftime now.

I hedged with Chicago Money line at +190 but only up to about 40% of the what i would win on the parlay. I said to myself what is the minimum I would be happy with if GB lost and thats what i did.

Gambling Shark...i definitely see your point now about waiting til 2nd half. I missed out. If I knew of what it meant by doing that I might have done it. thanks though! I'll be looking to do that if I'm in the position again. I learn something new everyday here it seems like.

I guaranteed that I would at least get to 10x of my starting bankroll for the weekend. I won the parlay so actually i ended up getting 16x of my starting bankroll for the weekend. Such a nice hit 8 team parlay..my 3rd hit in 2 years! But of course my losers were hedged a little so I really won 5 in 2 years!

I only lost the carolina game this week...ridiculous!!!

If I was a big roller I would be half way to retirement.
