INFRACTION - INDIRECT TROLLING
With the line at -3.5 i laughed at the "get it now" comment and the "The CornHuskers are befinatelty the play with that number IMO" from the resident forum expert lol. One can make a killing in this forum with zero handicapping by just reading some of this hogwash.
Allow me to add two more quotes from our resident expert.

"Wrong team favored here." - Must be nice to be smarter than the linesmakers.

"It was after the QB was announced out. Thought they could still play well." - What have I said about thinking???:duh:

Here we go again for the lazy gambler to use "trap game" with Nebraska.
What a terrible football team.Neb. QB is a RB playing QB and he stinks.Trap game from what people . Its WEEK 2.
Take every fkng cliche' you heard from a 21 year old talking head and use them
every week .You can thank that blowhard Scott Van Pelt on ESPN to come up with more excuses.
The pro's in Vegas stop using the excuse of the trap game 10 years ago.
Well there is a such thing as a trap game but this was not one of them

I dont think there is such a thing as a trap game.

People that THINK they are smarter than the experts or think they know what vegas is doing calls them traps. Facts are Vegas isn’t trying to trap anyone and usually… like in this game with a lot here…. Those experts and people that THINK they know what they are talking about…. Are the ones getting caught in the trap.

IF you need tips on how to find people that THINK they know… PM me. They usually act the same on all forums and social media outlets.

A “trap” game in general I usually think of a heavy favorite looking ahead to a big game and overlooking their current opponent. Or something like that

I don’t usually think books are trying to “trap” you. No one actually knows what’s gonna happen in a one game sample, including books.

Line movement, key numbers, trends, etc are all things interesting to look at and might be helpful in certain situations

But analyzing the actual match up and trying to find edges (easier said than done) is way more worth your time. It’s not easy as books account for the most valuable information,

Yet sometimes you have situations where there isnt much precedent/super relevant information and that creates some opportunity for those who know the sport well

Any capper that thought this was a letdown game for Colorado should quit gambling forever, never watch a football game again, ever, maybe get a job in a gift shop at a planetarium where you belong.

I can see why maybe people saw the movement, the hype of beating a ranked team as such a dog, plus Deion could at least lead to somewhat inflated line

I can see the logic of it

But as has been mentioned, it’s hard to quantify the impact that Deion has had on this program. It truly is unprecedented

Again dont over think it. If you watched Nebraksa and you watched Colorado, and you add in the fact Colorado was at home. Everyone saw it.

It was the people who THINK they know it all and THINK they knew Vegas was setting a trap that ended up on the wrong side.

When threads on game pop up 6 days before the game starts and the entire thread is on one side… look hard at the other side. You’ll come out ahead.

I call it fading the fish…. Gotta find a big one.. and your wallet can get really fat. They aren’t hard to find If you look in the right places.

My point on letdown game is it was the opening home game for a roster of 86 new players after a big win on the road want to show their stuff, not let down after one win.

To boot, yes, Sanders is a great motivator.

D1 players want to compete, new teams that are just now jelling will fight hard.

Yes some letdowns happen early with an established bowl type team that wins a game then feels confident the season will go well, and are a big point favorite, not a -3 at home new roster with a LOT to prove.

(There was a lot more to my selection, did not want to overload, but the TCU game gave coaches a chance to evaluate new players and make some adjustmenrs and even changes, the team vs TCU was learning, on the field, how to play together, this jelling will continue for several games more...)

Yes
I don’t consider a trap game to be something the books conjure up to try to get the public to take the wrong side :
It’s simply human nature

For instance the Braves played the biggest 4 game series of the baseball season last week and kicked the dodgers ass all over the field . Then after that the Braves get slaughtered in a series against the lowly cardinals . And they were -250 or more in each game .

I could see that coming from a mile away

I agree with this :

But just because “this” game was not a trap game does not mean that trap games don’t exist

Why is there so much "let down" talk about this game??

Who said it was a "let down" spot??

There's no such thing as a trap, Vegas puts out lines to get both sides of the action moving, Neb opened -7 in advance of the game between Colorado/TCU, then Vegas adjusted the line, still got a ton of action on the game, most bets on the over and on Colorado side. Vegas will adjust the lines more and you can already see it with the Colorado State game, S/O(scoresnodds) had CU opening -19 1/2 moved to -22 1/2 with total opening 57 1/2 moved to 59 1/2 down to 58 1/2, teams going into Boulder have to get used the environment there, high altitude, have to drink lots of water to stay hydrated and keep oxygen flowing. Congrats to the Buffaloes backers and shame on us who took the Huskers who're still notorius of beating themselves with poor execution and turnovers. I will say Nebraska's "D" is much improved, and they were on the field a ton in that game vs CU!!

GLE!!
