D'Angelo was arguably one of the worst D1 QBs prior to injury.

FWIW,

Last year Nebraska on the road 1-6 SU, 1-6 ATS
Last year and one game this year So. Miss at home 6-1 SU, 3-3 ATS. But were favs in all home games except one against Louisville when they were +2.5 and lost by 3.

Now this is the notorious Thursday night game, usually worth an extra point or two to the home team and the public is big time on Nebraska. I'm quite happy at this time with +11.

and s.miss is 1-7 ats as a dog, 1-7 ats non confrence games, 1-6 ats when playing a team with a winning record. we can go back and forth all day with stats. good luck with your play though.

I'm going against popular opinion here but I'm going over 37. When you have a team with the running attack that Nebraska has, chewing up the clock is not an issue, especially in college. When you rip off 8 - 10 yrds a pop you don't use much time. Combine that with the fact that Nebraskas special teams will likely have them in good field position and if S. Miss does anything at all it'll go over. I guess I just made a case for Nebraska minus the points as well.

either the books are gonna get shtooped or joe public is gonna bleed like a "no-armed" man in a knife fight with a puerto rican gang-banger......

my guess is that joe public is gonna get it doggy style AND reverse cowgirl from the man......

It Southern Miss is able to get into the endzone it will be because of a gimmick play, kick return, or Int/fumble return for a TD.

I'd say Southern is probably good for 10 pts. tonight, now the question is can they keep Nebraska under 21??? I don't think so.

It really surprised me that So. Miss. handled Nebraska's run tonight. I think part of it may have been that once Neb. got up big they wanted to try out their pass game to open things up for future games.

Now that the games over, any conclusions as to why the line moved? This was a great thread and I came darn close to passing (luckily I didn't!).

Was it because people loaded up on the Huskers at 7.5? Or to reel us over to the dog? Really not sure - but what finally sold me was reviewing the stats for SoMiss' backup QB who started tonight.
