You're correct that Shannon has not been a very good game coach so far in his career, but there is no denying that this is his most talented team yet, so i still think there will be some good spots to back them.

I agree. I think last years game was an example of Cal not adjusting well to the 9am PST kick-off, nor did they take Maryland seriously. Cal "should" be able to control the LOS and run at will in this game. I can see Cal winning this game somewhere in the neighborhood of 45-17

Jesus. The Terps homer in me wants to take that action right now. Terps will not lose this game by 22+.

Just started really digging, and noticed Canes 1st 4 game JEEZ!! FSU, GT, VT & OU. Not too many tougher.

I think those first two games for Miami are crucial. If they beat both FSU and GT, then the season starts looking very positive for the young team and I can see them actually giving VT and OU a run for their money. If they get beat by FSU, GT or both, then it's just another season like the last several where they play "up and down" without a lot of consistent inspiration.
