Teams and fan bases are rather nervous, the BCS Bubble

ND hurt themselves by getting blown out by the only real quality win they have (who was sans their QB in round 1 which diminishes that win, especially now)

A&M helped by Florida's performance

Cinci gave away whatever chance they had with their performance

ISU lost

USC lost

FL lost

I don't think anyone else had a chance coming into this week, so it's down to ND & A&M

I'd love to see ND play Bama in the semis. I always love betting Bama (8-3 ATS) and I love betting against ND in these games. Win win

I think Ohio St is in, however I suppose there's a decent argument for leaving them out

Not a big enough resume, which the committee has ignored thus far

ND

Tex A&M already played bama. It was a blowout.

I think it's better to get blown out in the 2nd game back in September than it is your 11th game being played in December

However, gun to my head, I think they pick ND

Guess we really are just going to keep bending convention for Notre Dame, then you wonder why there is zero chance they join a league. Convention doesn't allow for teams to be embarrassed in their final game of the season. It's Notre Dame though, no worries. Going in to Saturday, almost all believed that ND needed to compete, they had carte blanche to lose, but in a reasonable fashion. They allowed 34 straight points, got eviscerated, scored a garbage time TD to get off that Scarlett Number 3.

An aside, Notre Dame is never joining a league, stop talking about it and stop fooling yourselves. Heard these same conversations for a million years, if you were going to land the Irish, you needed their signature BEFORE you gave them everything they wanted.

Three, repeat three, 3 loss teams ahead of Coastal. Indiana got shafted too. This committee is garbage, but what’s new?!?

I am still trying to get over how the Big Ten started the season saying you needed to play 6 games to get into the conference championship game, then changed the rule with i believe 2 weeks to go so ensure Ohio State gets in...

I am not debating if Ohio state is the best team in the big ten(they certainly are) just why make a rule that you are simply going to change for solely the benefit of 1 team. Just say nothing and let the season play out.

But on the topic. I wouldn't mind seeing CC as the 4th team. I suppose watching ND get white washed in the play-offs has become tradition though.

This is an invitation not a playoff fucking terrible. Give out a first round bye for top 2 and allow a real playoff total bs

2 ACC teams? Weak conference. A & M loses 1 game in the SEC and is left out. What a joke. Notre Lame will get slaughtered in this game. They put them in for ratings but when it is 21 0 early the ratings will be bad. Lay the points early and often for Bama.

The answer lies in the fact that Alabama is -19.5 versus ND. Ohio State doesn't belong either so politics and the same old stuff get's us two lousy semi-final games.

Was there any doubt who they would pick? :>(

It's pretty much the same teams every year.

4th was tough but they probably got it right with notre dame. Hard to argue Lawrence absence made huge difference in the first game. Nd is the worst of the 4 and probably will lose to Bama, but A&M already got wiped by bama anyway

baMa, clemson, and osu are all about the same

What? You mean you never heard of charging the rules late to help yourself?

Notre dame gets into acc during COVID season. They get whooped sorry this an invitation not a playoff. They lose to Clemson who wins there conference which is inferior to SEC. I would rather see Oklahoma at least they are conference champs .

Would anyone NOT watch the game if cincy or coastal got the 4 seed but WOULD watch b/c ND got the 4 seed (other than ND fans)?

Gonna be a blowout whoever gets the 4 seed.

may as well give it to the “little guy”
