wvu by 10 could certainly happen. hell, by 17 could happen. i don't see it happening though. colorado, win or lose, is not a bottom feeder anymore. the program is close to breaking through. it doesnt happen overnight. but the years of colorado rolling over against good teams are gone.

I will be very surprised if Colorado isn't' a top ten team in two years.

i very much agree with this. at worst, perennial top 20 under hawkins is what they will be in the near future. some guys were just too big for midmajor football. urban meyer was one. dan hawkins was another. buffs might not be ready for oklahoma and texas. but wvu at home? i will gladly take my chances.

Prodigy...I've got to admit you put up the best argument I've heard for playing on Colorado. Or at least for playing against WV. West Virginia and their new coach might be paying the devil back this season for their stunning BCS bowl win over my Sooners. That might have been their last hurrah. I see a change of guard coming in the Big East this season...Good luck tonight

playing colorado on the moneyline. there should be enough scoring in this game where the field goal doesn't have the kind of value it normally would. so ill play this one juice free and take back a small return.

west virginia is a likely candidate to win the 'louisville 2007-2008' award. theyre the kind of team that could very well prove to be a big time money burner while people try to chase them week after week because of their ability to score points. wvu fans can say 'good riddance' all they want, but losing rodriguez was a huge hit to the program.

last year people grossly underestimated the loss of petrino to the UL. and many refused to see the red flags that popped up in losses to kentucky and syracuse. because they returned talent on offense, they still commanded a lot of betting money despite lacking the swagger that made them so dominant in the petrino years. it was months of 'they'll bounce back, they'll bounce back'. they never did.

im not convinced that east carolina loss was an aberration. the pirates are an average football team whose ranking will ultimately prove silly when they are playing just to become bowl eligible late in the season. the red flags are popping up for west virginia. theyre not going to completely fall off the map. but they are going to regress this year. teams know the mountaineers are beatable. laying points in one of the more difficult environments in college football just doesn't add up.

colorado should win this one.

Yep......:drink::drink:
