I think this is from the Birmingham Press yesterday.
TCU head coach Gary Patterson said Wednesday it's possible he won't name a starter until game time.
"Whichever one looks at me the nicest, smiles and winks," joked Patterson of who will start. "We'll have both back and they're ready to go. We won't know (who will start) until game time. We'll see who the healthiest is of the group."
Gunn, a junior, started last year's 27-24 win over UAB, but Hassell took over when Gunn was injured. He rallied the Horned Frogs from a 24-16 third quarter deficit to the victory over UAB.
Gunn was named the starter in fall camp, but suffered an injured ankle in TCU's loss to Texas Tech. He has not dressed for either of the last two games.
Gunn, 10-1 as a starter, has 578 yards passing this season along with five touchdown passes and one interception.
Hassell, a senior, started in TCU's meetings with SMU and South Florida, but walk-on Kyle Kummer started the Army contest with Hassell limited by a shoulder injury. However, it was Hassell who rallied the Horned Frogs to a 21-17 win over Army two weeks ago. Hassell, 7-3 as a starter at TCU, has thrown for 668 yards this season and six touchdowns. He has only one interception.
The bye week helped TCU rest its quarterbacks as well as many of its injured players, including all-league receiver Reggie Harrell.
