No offense, man, but, the lines you post are unattainable at any of the reputable offshore books. And, I saw in your explanation that alot of your winning is based on line shopping, and, I'm starting to see what you mean by that. I'm sure by playing at the smaller, less reputable, less stable places you can get these lines, but, they arent' realistic.

I meant the previously posted ones. None of the other lines you stated were realistically attainable anywhere.

Guys:

If you don't mind a comment. Lines for games are released the day before, particularly at Pinnacle, Oly, and Cris. If I like a line, I take it as was the case for me with Maryland today. Pinnacle opened at -2. Recognize that most places now list it as -2.5. A poster may have already gotten a line early, but posted later for any number of reasons. Let's give the benefit of the doubt to those who choose to post unless it is so obvious to all that a line never existed. Good luck today ATX, my fellow team member.

Min -4 everyewhere? Let's see. Wsex, WWTS, The Greek and Pinnacle (biggest out there) were all at -4.5 when you posted this line. Same for the Seattle OVER. Md I will give you. It's easy to win games when lines being posted are 1 to 2 points off consistently.

Oldman, that's fine, however, fi you are going to post a line that is unattainable then you shouldn't count it as a win if it falls right on the number. That's all I'm saying.

If I understand you fully, it would require a poster to immediately come to the forum right after he/she makes every play. Don't you think that is a little bit too much to ask. For instance, when the lines come out at about 5 p.m. EST, if I see something I like for tomorrow, I'll take it but I might want to wait on other games that I think the line might move a little later in my favor. Would you expect me to post every play as I make it? I prefer to release as early as I can all my plays in the morning or sometimes on a Friday night for the early games Saturday in order to help the forum and the readers. There has to be some trust on our parts. I'll certainly trust your plays as you state them and any other poster until it becomes obvious that they may be padding their record. Just my thoughts to share.

I would not, however, I would not expect that you would take credit for a win on a line that nobodtg but you could get, at the time that you posted. THAT is what I'm saying. Furthermore, it's a moot point, because ATX obviously posts about 100 different times during the day and is obviously posting as he is playing, as he posts piece meal. THERE lie the differneces.

That's like my playing an overnmight line at -5, then posting that I like the play the next day, when it's at -7, then the game landing on 6 and me counting it as a win. It's not fair, as it taints your record. At no point did I imply that you HAD to post immediately, but, at least post with lines that are realistic.

j, I'm not your financial advisor, no hard feelings, but if the line moves between when I get down and when I post then there is not much I can do about that.

I play overnights, I middle sometimes against my opening position, I often bet several times on one game. I dont post everything b/c it would be too time consuming and would not make sense to a lot of people.

A lot of the time I circle a number and watch it until any slight move in my direction triggers my response. I've got IMs going and phone calls etc, I am constantly looking at games. So a lot of times there is delay when I post here. Sometimes I dont even post a wager, either I forget or the value is gone. A lot of the time I will post a team at +5 and "same at +4.5", I usually dont bother to post ml's.

This is nothing more than an information exchange, do what you want with what I post, I dont win every day, I dont win every week, I hope to continue winning over time, I've been through the posting wars and most of them are boring. best of luck

Not meant to be a posting war. But, I do this for a living (sports wagering), and, I have seen people who talk a good game but don't substantiate much of what they have to say (like when I asked for your net units won, for which there still has been no direct answer), and, those who sound the slickest talking (like you about markets, and about this and that and the other), generally have the least substance to what they say.

one other thing:

j, dont let the forums inhibit your thinking. this is not a contest against other posters. I am not trying to post more winners than someone else, I am trying to make as much money as possible while proportioning risk. I dont update my record all the time for reasons: 1. I dont do it all the time even with my accounts, I do know if I'm winning or losing at any given point. 2. my record is different than what I post, not to an extreme, but I do often go back for more etc right before tip, so it is time consuming to calculate two records with the number of wagers I typically place, plus I would have to calculate everything at the differing vig for each. 3. people often take shots if you post a record, the last time I did it, I was called out for being .1% off, that's right not 1% but a tenth of a percent off, and that was b/c I calculated it at the reduced vig I wagered on instead of the -110 that I always had calculated my wagers on here. 4. it takes too much time, just during the time I was posting I missed PHI +5, now I might pass on that altogether but just an illustration. I've said it before, other people are simply easier to follow, I often wait until right before game time just for a couple cents off price.
