He was talking about Georgia...not a very smart comment either IMO. Will be used against him and pretty sure they have a current commit from there.

Well, that didn't take long. Just goes to show you we have a bunch of MORONS on that board. It was a stupid rule to begin with...

It was the right thing. I guess the DOJ heat supersedes the SEC's. I kid, I kid. Recruiting needs an overhaul, but it has to be a holistic sit-down not this ala carte process. It we just go point for point, I feel like the heavyweights will get their way on most issues. There should be some give and take, so that other academic institutions don't completely get left out in the cold.

Guess I just an old traditionalist...practice at home.

Get off your ass and recruit better than your competition.

Good coaches do and Good coaches survive.

Camps here...camps there...doesn't matter if you don't have the program
and coaches who know HOW to recruit the prize athletes. Ain't going
to matter with SEC schools. Michigan robs two 3-stars. Alabama nor Auburn
wanted them anyway. Crock of crap more than anything with elite schools.

Camps are a chance to create relationships, which is a lot of what recruiting is today. They are also a way to evaluate the players to narrow its focus. As Ive pointed out before, Nebraska last two qb committs were both evaluated side by side last year at the LA Camp. USC came looking late for one (an elite 11 guy and a 4 star). The other turned away his fathers U, an SEC school for NU. He's also a 4 star and in most of the recruiting services Top- whatever. So, I dont think its a foregone conclusion that this is just filler committs.

exactly

if these camps were about giving lightly recruited kids a chance to play at a big school then michigan and state penn rosters would have more than ZERO 2 stars from the southeast. It's about taking advantage of an ACC/SEC rule that doesn't apply across the board and getting your brand out, and building relationships with players and HS coaches, without having to convince a kid from Anniston, AL to fly up to creepy valley or ann arbor

I read where Maryland, Michigan, and Penn State are coming to Tidewater (Norfolk) to co-host camps w/ ODU.
