</td></tr><tr><td class="bodyCopy">Derrick Rose (ankle) is no longer in a walking boot, but he skipped shootaround on Tuesday and appears unlikely to play against the Knicks.</td></tr><tr><td>
clear.gif
</td></tr><tr><td class="vaLink">The injury initially occurred when Rose landed on another player's foot against the Knicks on Sunday. Tom Thibodeau called Rose a game-time decision, but as beat writer Nick Friedell writes, that's typically Thibodeau's way of saying Rose is out. Rose has swelling and pain in the ankle, so it would take something miraculous for Rose to play on Tuesday against the Knicks. Chicago will not jeopardize his postseason availability even if it means Rose has to miss more regular season games. C.J. Watson should draw the start in Rose's place, and he's averaging 12.2 points, 1.7 treys and 1.1 steals over 20 starts this year.
