Nate McMillan said Wednesday that if Rudy Fernandez can play tonight (game-time decision, flu) that he will start Gerald Wallace, along with Nicolas Batum, and bring Marcus Camby off the bench. It's not like the Blazers are facing a small lineup either, as the Kings will start Samuel Dalembert at center. This probably has to do with the poor health of Camby than it does matchups, and it should be interesting to see how this plays out. Mar. 2 - 8:59 p.m. ET Source: Joe Freeman on Twitter
Rudy Fernandez will not play on Wednesday due to the flu. He was going to try, but isn't feeling well enough. Nate McMillan said earlier that he planned on starting a small lineup with Marcus Camby on the bench if Rudy was in, but we're not sure what his plans are now that Rudy is out. Trevor Ariza left Wednesday's game with a strained left adductor and did not return, finishing with seven points on 3-of-4 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes. This may be the reason that his minutes have been cut in the past two games, but it goes without saying that the addition of Carl Landry gives Monty Williams somebody to compel Ariza to play efficiently with. Either way, if owners want to dump Ariza for a hot free agent, we wouldn't hold it against them. Mar. 2 - 9:59 p.m. ET Source: Jimmy Smith on Twitter
Kevin Durant sprained his ankle badly near the end of the third quarter on Wednesday and went straight to the locker room, with some help. This didn't look good and while it's possible he could return, the Thunder's Twitter feed is already suggesting he could miss a couple games. Mar. 2 - 9:59 p.m. ET Source: Daily Thunder on Twitter
