Brandon Roy is reportedly considering udergoing experimental surgery that would involve meniscus transplantation. The surgery, which would involve moving meniscus from another part of his body into his knee, has been performed on retired athletes, but it doesn't sound like an active professional athlete has ever played after having it done. Roy has been shut down indefinitely and it's anyone's guess if or when we'll see him back on the court. Jan. 3 - 6:13 p.m. ET Source: Pro Basketball Talk
Nazr Mohammed will miss Monday's game with a bone bruise in his knee. There is no timetable yet for his return. With the news that DeSagana Diop will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured achilles, the Bobcats are now very thin at center. This should mean Kwame Brown starts, while Tyrus Thomas almost has to log heavy minutes for the suddenly thin Bobcats. With Gerald Wallace also hurt, if Thomas doesn't break out this week it may never happen. Jan. 3 - 6:20 p.m. ET Source: Mike Cranston on Twitter
