Assuming the NBA is fixed (which it isn't, but whatever) to make the home team always win, why aren't you betting all the home teams?

Exactly. I'm confused.

I've watched a ton of bball in my short life, and out of all of 'em, there's only one that I ever thought was fixed: Game 7 between Portland and LA when Portland was up like 15 heading into the 4th quarter, and the Lakers proceeded to get every call imaginable and went to the line like 30+ times in the 4th or some shit.

I think players' effort and selfishness makes games harder to cap. But they're not fixed, at least not the regular season. It just wouldn't be worth it to the NBA.

Dude if the NBA is fixed for the home teams. Why not just bet on all of the home teams? Seems like you could make millions from doing this strategy.

If that was true, there would be a couple of smarter guys who would give effort 20% of the time and beat their ass.

Maybe in fact, most guys give their best effort most nites and sometimes get beat by other guys giving a bit better effort.
