Phoenix Suns agree to 2-year deal with guard Eric Gordon.

Free agent Eric Gordon has agreed to a two-year deal -- including a player option -- with the Phoenix Suns, his agents, Aaron Mintz and Steven Heumann of CAA Sports, told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Sunday.
The deal is for $6 million over the two years, sources told ESPN's Brian Windhorst.
Gordon, 34, became a free agent after the LA Clippers opted not to guarantee his $21 million contract last week. The move saved the team over $100 million on its projected tax bill.

Eric Gordon...a good player, great outside shooter and no defense, not what they need...oh wait, that's what I said about Bradley Beal although he is very good player. Meanwhile, they lose the back-up center. Let's see how a bunch of jump shooters do in the playoffs. I smell the influence of Isiah Thomas and it stinks.

They rely so much on efficient mid range game, it’s crazy

Kinda old school in a sense, but man idk. Think about how well Booker/KD played from mid range just to lose in 6

Timberwolves agree to 5-year extension with Anthony Edwards

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has agreed on a five-year designated rookie maximum deal that could be worth up to $260 million, his agents Bill Duffy and Joe Branch of WME told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday.
Edwards, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft, averaged career bests of 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game last season while earning his first All-Star appearance.
He becomes the fourth player from the 2020 class to sign a five-year max extension, joining Tyrese Haliburton, LaMelo Ball and Desmond Bane.

Malik Beasley agrees to 1-year, $2.7M deal with Bucks.

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a one-year, $2.7 million deal with free agent guard Malik Beasley, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday.
Beasley became a part-time starter for the Los Angeles Lakers after the team revamped its roster at the trade deadline and made a late push to qualify for the Western Conference play-in game. However, his role diminished once the postseason started, and he fell out of the rotation entirely after the first round.

Grant Williams heading to Mavs in sign-and-trade.

The Dallas Mavericks and restricted free agent Grant Williams are finalizing a four-year, $53 million contract as part of a three-team sign-and-trade agreement with the Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Wednesday.
San Antonio will receive forward Reggie Bullock and an unprotected first-round pick swap in 2030 from Dallas, while both the Celtics -- Williams' former team -- and the Mavericks will receive two second-round picks, sources said.
The Celtics also will get a $6.2 million trade exception, per ESPN's Bobby Marks.

Suns acquire three second-round picks from Grizzlies, sources say.

After the Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal blockbusters cleaned out the Phoenix Suns' coffers of any controllable draft picks through 2030, the franchise acquired three future second-round picks in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, sources told ESPN.
The Grizzlies are sending a 2025 second-round pick via the New Orleans Pelicans and their own second-rounders in 2028 and 2029, sources said. These second-rounders give the Suns some picks to use in future trades, or to draft players themselves.
The Suns sent the Nets four unprotected first-round picks and a 2028 pick swap in the Durant deal. Before this trade, the Suns had control over zero picks through 2030 -- first or second-round.
The cost to the Suns will be forward Isaiah Todd and first-round pick swaps in 2024 and 2030, sources said. The Grizzlies will have the right in those years to swap their own first for the lesser of the Suns/Washington Wizards' first-round selections, sources said.
The Suns traded the Wizards six future second-round picks and six first-round pick swaps in the Beal trade.
