I don't see Klay/Curry/Poole being able to hold up vs Luka....Think the Mavs consistently get good shots in that series, the Suns may have issues offensively w/ CP going in the tank but I do think the Suns are better equipped to guard the Mavs than GS, GS lot of holes to attack

Kleber can hold up on D as well since Green isn't a huge threat to score, I mean really Ayton should've ruined him this series. Kleber was probably the Mavs defensive MVP (besides DFS) the way he was able to take away the CP/Ayton 2 man game.

That +850 I posted on Mavs earlier was me trying to tell people come with me if you want to live

We'll see what happens but I think Curry will have to be his vintage self in that series, no 4-14 games from 3 to win it. He'll have to be the best player or close to the best player to X Luka, similar to Kawhi last year.

Really hasn't played like that consistently since last year/the first month of this yr

I remember someone saying a couple months back about the possibility of Suns/Bucks splitting the next 5 titles

They were obviously very good teams last year, who benefitted a lot from injury luck. Never understood why people felt they were world-beaters, though Phoenix at times looked like it could be this season I suppose. Nevertheless look up and down these rosters, both this and last year, and hard to see them as that quite honestly

Anyway, if you like $ Dallas +850 to win the West is a good play

Season probably ends in 34 hours but they're being undervalued....Should be closer to like 6-1. Team has a lot of upside if shots are falling

shades of Bron '07 Cavs run

Hopefully a few of you degens like money and got on this ride with me

If you didn't, I'll say it is both of our fault. I should've said come with me if you want to live.

Warriors know they won't stop Luka. They'll throw Wiggins on him most likely and do their best ,but yeah Luka is averaging 32/12/8 or something like that

I don't think they'll have trouble guarding Mavs as a whole though. Very simplistic offense, non-athletic, not that big. Memphis presented a style that posed more issues for Warriors I thought. Dallas very differnet

I've been bullish on Dallas since trading away Porzingis because of their defense. However it's going to be tough to handle all 3 of those guy. Doubt they throw Brunson on Curry all day and are willing to sacrifice his offense

Warriors simply have a much more dynamic offense than Phoenix. They rely way more on ball movement, and aren't constantly hunting for slow big guys. Curry/Klay/Poole/Wiggins all better scorers than Cp3. Warriors can afford a bad game from one of their three guards, assuming Wiggings doesn't completely no show

Memphis presented a style that posed a threat offensively compared to Dallas?

Memphis/Dallas in terms of halfcourt offense isn't even close, Memphis w/o Morant and Bane not being able to move with his back isn't a team that is giving a good team problems in the playoffs. Regardless of what a 3 game sample says.

I think Dallas can hold up pretty well against most of that off ball stuff, but since not many teams play like that only 1 way to findout. But Dallas is generally very good against off-ball action. Finney/Bullock are very disruptive.

Phx made a lot of hay targeting Doncic on D in the series (atleast before their implosion) and GS isn't really equipped to do that. They also don't have anyone like Ayton to bend the D at the rim, you could go on and on. Obviously easy to say someone like Wiggins or Poole is better than CP after he totally flops, but he owns those guys. Dallas just made him look like nobody. Similar to Roy Jones vs Virgil Hill.

And I'm not sure how much Poole/Curry/Klay lineups can hold up defensively on D....I mean Clippers had Kawhi, George, Morris, Batum, Beverly and Luka was giving it to them. He's gonna bend those 3 skinny geeks in half with his fat boy game.

Mavs definitely are more of a high floor type D, no real weak spots, play fundamentally sound but don't really have the big time star defender game changers that can limit the best offenses at the highest levels like the Bucks or Heat or Celtics

But no one has really just given it to them in a playoff series last few years. Utah for their flaws is a very good offense, Phx elite offense, LAC last year obviously a great offense and they held their own in that series with Porzingis, Hardaway Jr playing big minutes. Think at some point we gotta say the sum is greater than the parts. Just tough to see them getting run over after what they did to Phx, and if they don't get run over on D well then their offense is obviously coming for you and it is gonna be competitive

Meh that's fair.

I think it can be competitive, but think Golden State is too good offensively and matches up well . Too much firepower -- way more than Phoenix

I know we are stunned about what happened in Phoenix,

But shouldn't we be shocked that the Celtics managed to do the impossible and beat the big, bad Bucks twice in a row?

Chris Paul on record after game 6. "It's not life and death. It's basketball."

In retrospect, I think he checked out of basketball after he got his 6 fouls and his family was touched..

And the Suns went with him. He had no interest after that. What an embarrasment to basketball.

Home court in game 7. Down by 30 at the half. That's just the ultimate ultimate. Fans never had a chance to even make a difference. They deserve their money back.

Props to Dallas though. They completely raped them defensively. PHX had nothing. Nothing.

That was a beat down of epic proportions.

Two tough losses for fan bases. Who expected two blowouts yesterday? The Suns performance was obviously much worse than the Bucks. Both teams need to improve. Especially hard to say that for the best record in the NBA, but they're not built for the playoffs, They're the Gonzaga of the NBA :)

Giannis is a freak and nobody in their right mind would ever call him soft. He's a champion, but he needs more help, more than just Middleton

The best teams are young and getting better.
