I believe everyone should celebrate whatever makes them happy, as long as it doesn't harm others. And I'm sorry, somebody being offended by the Confederate Flag does not qualify has being harmed

They're simply weak people with a fucked up moral compass, I don't know how else to describe it. Their approach to life and obstacles and success and relationships and values are the polar opposite of mine, and there's NO WAY IN FUCKING HELL I WOULD WANT TO BE ANYTHING THEY ARE.
I find it shocking some people can be so shallow.

About five years ago I had a different affiliate partner for tree service work that was very qualified but also a profile (for himself and his crew members) blue collar/no college degree anti-Democratic voter
He had a crew member who showed up at a job I had booked for about $3k (removals) with a truck sporting large window decal of the CSA flag.
I told him that truck had to be removed immediately or I would quash the job with client
After a fair bit of "wtf?" grumbling, they took the truck away and completed the job
Afterwards he wanted a deeper explanation and I told him I viewed that flag - in the 21st century for sure - as no more welcome than a Nazi swastika and it was hazardous to my business
A couple months later, on the heels of my having booked almost $90k in business previous eight months he decided he would do his own bookings. And I connected with a younger and more well equipped operator who has been a great asset for over four years now.
