Blue,
I have no credibility simply because my opinion doesn't duplicate yours ? Where is Illinois in my list ? I already stated I have Ill. at 3/1 to win the big 10 ! If Ill. beats Mich. St Tuesday, I will move them up on my list Ga Teck has a key injury to their leading scorer and has had to start Freshmen lately but like Kansas when their injured players return, they will be a force. These top 5 picks are opinions only ....not facts. That's why in basketball they have to win the games during March madness unlike the phony BCS system. I will not bad mouth your picks as they look very solid IMO

kermit, no, because it's ridiculous not to have Illinois in a Top 5. Undefeated and they've beaten more Top 50 teams than anybody else. And convincingly too, winning 18/21 by DD.

Can't we ALL just get along?!!

D2,
So far like I already stated, Illinois has had a very favorable home schedule with their only victory on the road against a rated team being 18 ranked Wisconsin .
Let's wait and see how they do against Mich. ST. By the way, I haven't seen your top 5 yet ! You and I both have North Carolina as 1 but let's see your next 4.

Cant say one team is better than the other right now. Illinois v. UNC on neutral court 10 times and they probably split 10 games 5-5. Wake would probably even split 10 games with Illinois on neutral. Who cares about who is #1. Wait til March and let them settle it out. I've watched Iowa lose to both UNC and Illinois. Based on those 2 games I watched, I would say UNC is better team. I've seen more Illini games than UNC. They are both impressive but can't say one is better than the other. I would say UNC has more talent and that is due to their big guys being better than Illini's. Probably won't get to see either of them play each other though because they'll both probably be upset in the tourney.

Illinois also beat Gonzaga and Cinci both big on neutral courts. And we don't both have UNC #1. Not a chance...

Top 5:
1. Illinois
2. UNC
3. Wake
4. Kentucky
5. Louisville

Have you so quickly forgotten that Illinois manhandled Gonzaga and Cincy on neutral courts? And home court or not, they led Wake by 31 late in the game. So Wake can't be ahead of undefeated Illinois. Sorry. And "we play well every other game" Kansas? Forget about it. I'm not saying Illinois is going to win it all. You have to good and lucky for that to happen. But c'mon, bro.

And let's take a look at Ga Tech who you have in the Top 5...GT is 12-5, their road record: 1-4, lost their last 4, only road win was 60-59 over that superpower UIC Flames in November.

GT over Illinois...:lolBIG:

GT isn't even a Top 10 team.

If it all plays out, Illini will not have to travel too far in the Tourney with Sweet 16 at the United Center and the Final 4 in St. Louis.

No question that would be favorable locations.

But the Sweet 16 is actually not at the UC, it's at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont (formelry Rosemont Horizon), home of the DePaul Blue Demons.

It's obvious that he has an agenda. You could get away with saying UNC is better. They aren't better, but reasonable people could disagree on that point. But anyone who doesn't have Illinois in the top 2 or 3 simply has no clue what they are talking about.

I have an agenda ? I already stated that I have Ill. at 3/1 to win the big 10 and I also have them at 12/1 to win the whole thing ! Want to see my tickets ? I doubt if anyone here knows who will make it to the final 4 but I think that I will see 4 out of my 5 make it to the sweet 16. I have gone to Vegas for March madness for the last 15 years and I have seen many many big upsets along the way so who really knows for sure ? It would not surprise me if neither Ill. or North Carolina makes it to the final 4. There are lots of good teams that haven't even been mentioned yet.
