Dean was born on September 17, 1953 to the late Marc J. Alan and the late Gertrude “Trudy” Alan. He attended Central Michigan University for his undergraduate Bachelor’s of Science degree, Cum Laude, and also attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law to earn his Juris Doctor Degree. Dean worked for the County of Macomb as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for 40 years.
Dean loved sports and traveling, but most of all he loved his family. Dean, along with his family and friends, would head up-north throughout the summer months to Van Etten Lake in Oscoda.
Visitation for Dean will be on Friday, September 10th, from 1 PM until 9 PM with a prayer service at 8:30 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. Dean will lie instate at 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon on Saturday, September 11th, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dean’s name can be made to ALS of Michigan, Hospice of Michigan, or Project Main Street.
