Thank you HugeUnderdog, I hope you make some money today too.
Jles, I totally get where you are coming from. No reason getting a little safety net. Lets hope you win with some good margin.
I just happen to try and take the larger odds, like HU said, I think I can hit about 50% of those over the long run and the math should be in my favor. Granted, there are some ugly losses, but ultimately, I think its the right style for me.
In regards to the other games today, I had a couple strong leans and wanted to get those out there. I wont be playing them, but did have an opinion. If you guys ever want to get some banter going on these games, I would love that. I understand that I don't see all the different angles and anyones input on why I might be wrong on games is not only welcomed but encouraged. Working together will help all of us prosper.
Tottenham & Crystal Palace - Palace is rolling right now. Townsend, Benteke, and Zaha are as formable upfront as any three in the EPL. However, I my concern about this one is how Palace is going to deal with the playmaking ability of Tottenham. Chelsea very easily could have given up 3-4 to them the last time out, but some quality chances didnt go in. Ill be interested to see if Tottenham goes with Davies and Walker instead of Son, as I think that sort of physical defense is going to be very important with the speed and power that Big Sam is running out there. I think Palace is the 'right' side here against a tired Spurs team, but who knows. The Over is probably the right choice, but Im not paying -140 for that shit. Palace at +575 is the best value here. The only thing keeping me off it is how well Tottenham can create against a packed in defense. Im not sure this is the best match-up for the new CP style.
Sunderland & Middlesborough - Ugh. Bleh. Over. Eek.
