I will add a few blurbs as I have BEEN there. I was a slice of cheesecake under 300 lbs 4 years ago. Since I have run 2 Marathons and today weigh in at 188.
DON'T be soooooo concerned with the numbers of everything so early on. You know what is good and what is bad. Make HEALTHY choices. I cut out ALL things I considered bad--I made them taboo. For over a year I had ZERO--chips/candy/ice cream/pop. I even passed on my own birthday cake.
However, if needed have these in tiny amounts-it won't set you back. This weight will take a while to lose--so set yourself up with foods you like--ie fruits/veggies.
The two biggest differences for me were WATER and EXERCISE. Drink water until you can't do it anymore--make it your clear choice.
I will be honest your exercise plan sounds weak. Do anything--buy dumbells-get out and walk at a BRISK pace if you can't walk--but don't count moving at work as losing calories--go the extra yard.
Try this for 1 week--make your only drink WATER--NO "bad" foods and do 50 sit ups a day--see what it does.
BEST of LUCK-it can be done!!!

Great advice.

I fully admit it. I get caught up in the details at times. If I am not completely on my game ALL the time, I tend to get tripped up by a lot. Focusing on even the smallest numbers helps me keep focus on the overall plan. Some people may not need that much focus initially.

And I agree about the workouts being weak. I tried to say that without taking away from what he is already accomplishing by making the decision to start. But let me echo - start lifting. Add in intervals. Still take the dog on walks as often as you can, but dont call doing so a workout. Just call it being active - which is a good thing.

Thanks again Bromox and WW for your support.

@ Bromox

That TNT diet/workout looks great. I'm going Monday to see if the YMCA can help me out with a payment plan because I'm not making a lot of money to really belong to a gym without some financial help. If this doesn't work I'll go ask my old football coach if I can use the school gym for my workouts.

Not to knock you man but you don't have enough money for a gym yet you bet? Seems like you might need to re-evaluate your priorities? Just my .02 though.
