Why is that? Wouldn't that mean less demand and it takes longer since people aren't looking to see it.

not quite... This is a lot of guessing, but the theaters wont carry it very long either.. they wont just support a movie when there is no ticket sales... the quicker to the factory for dvd production so they can make something on it before people realize its that bad. lol...
