I usually respond in a respectful fashion is something said in a respectful way, as in almost always without exception unless there's a prior history. But I'm certainly capable of having a bad day, just not very many

How was he exposed? I didn't read the whole thread but I read the first posts. Some high maintenance customer got mad he had a heart attack. He never even paid him anything, came to him late in the tax season, and the most it could have cost him was some interest on taxes he may have owed.
I used to prepare taxes and know these types of clients well. Pains in the ass who know nothing about taxes but will lose their mind if the results are something they don't like. "I don't get a 'refund' because I withdrew retirement early? How could you do this to me Mr. Tax Preparer?' Or, "We only get EIC for 3 kids? What if we want to have big families? It's not fair!"
