hanover, i think you're the a-hole. he is right. in an office job, why the need for drug testing? it IS invasive and is violative of the First Amendment. Ever heard of that tufguy???

sure, in a job involving transporting people, whether it be by bus or airplane, drug testing makes sense because of the tremendous public risk, but in an office/professional setting, who gives a damn?

I think the biggest crock of shit is when employers do credit checks. I could see to a degree if your job is something like a bank teller, cashier etc... but for other jobs, your credit history shouldn't matter.

a tablespoon of bleach in a gallon of water and drink 2 hours before testing will take care of it. My prison buddies do it all the time when they piss for their probation officer.

Honover, yes...Of course when considering other peoples safety one should be concerned...but then again...what difference does it make if a Pilot smoked some weed 4 days before his flight while he was on holidays at his cottage. What does this have to do with him being able to do his Job...But it is Ok for them to Binge drink 4 days before? If you ask me the Binge drinker will be much more risk to public health...Govt needs to step out of our lives...no one is suggesting people should be allowed to go to work STONED...all we are saying is that what one does in the privacy of their home is NO ONE's BUSINESS...By the way...dont know If I would try that Bleach trick...I also think 27 days & you should be cool....Unless of course your friend is surrounded by second hand smoke all the time? I have a solution for ya...move to Canada...

I don't think it's that simple. Land of the free also means companies have the right to say "Hey...if you want to work here, then you will ahere to our policies." If one of them happens to be a drug free work place, that's their perogative. Banning employees from using illegal substances isn't invasive behavior.

The problem with people doing drugs "in the privacy of their own home" is what if they're in the drugged up/altered mind state, then decide to go out to get some food because they suddenly have a case of the munchies? There is nothing to stop them from doing that, and that becomes a public hazard. In your example of a pilot...yeah maybe if he smokes grass 4 days before his next scheduled flight it's no big deal. But where do you draw the line...? What if instead of 4 days, it was 4 hours or 4 minutes?

That has to be the dumbest idea EVER. Do you even know how bad bleach is for a human to ingest. I hope no one would actually believe one word this stiff says.
