Doesn't make sense that they wouldn't or couldn't just grade yoru first half wager. Then you place your bet online. Just seems to be a mis communication.

Sorry about your $80. but I think it was your decison to make and confirm the bet over the phone.

What happens when they give you the choice of

A)$80 and your account is closed
or
B) $0 and you apoligize for making them look bad...plus you get to keep your account open.

1. how much is 2200 hundred? did you mean 22 hundred? or 220,000 ?

2. you bet almost 70% of your bankroll on the first half of a game and expect the book to have it graded before the second half kicks off.

3. you relize that they are not going to have it graded in time so you call and they let you bet it at +105 ... you make the bet

4. you think they owe you $80 so you call the manager in the morning to collect AND you think this is a no brainer...

why even bother asking posters here their opinions if you are going to call the people that TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH YOU morons?

Next time just title your thread: Looking for support in trying to get $80 out of a book.

What a bunch of pussies you guys on this site are. Whenever I criticize Olympic for charging 30 cents on team totals everyone jumps to defend them.

Pinnacle should have graded this immediately upon the conclusion of the first half. End of Story.

The only way the player makes the second half bet is to call it in and they charge him a higher vig for calling the bet in. Sounds like a catch 22 to me.

It is no ones business if he wants to bet his whole bankroll on 1 bet and than roll it on the second half. It is simple for the book to grade a first half bet on an NFL playoff game, that what computers are for.

Dead on is absolutely right, you guys have your nose so far up the asses of some of these books. The book should give him the $80, it is something called goodwill.

Actually, large bets have to be graded by a supervisor or something like that. I've made (and lost) wagers over $1500.00 and I guess they're smoking a big bowl to celebrate their victory after they beat me. so it's take time.

dead on, excuse me, but you should have already started realising that you are talking crap here. I waited at my local kfc for ten minutes for a zinger burger with extra cheese, 5 minutes more than the average 5 minutes they advertise it takes them to get an order ready, should i be asking for some fries on the side? Even if you were betting at the school yard at the age of ten for candy or something, when someone offera a bet at a certain price, and the other accepts it (no matter what his qualms might be) then the bet is set and you should honour it. You took their bet, it's a done deal. Quit bitching about it.

"It is simple for the book to grade a first half bet on an NFL playoff game, that what computers are for"

my computer slows down when I have more than 3-4 programs running. I can't imagine how bogged down a large books machine(s) get during halftime with them grading games, taking new bets, and every player on the planet accessing there accounts online. Anyway the bet was not graded he phoned to see if they would hurry up and grade his bet so he could bet the 2nd half they said yeah you can have it at +105... he cries that he wants it at +109... clerk says sorry 105 take it or leave it.... the guy calls back the next morning and speaks to a MANAGER THAT TELLS HIM TOUGH LUCK... so then he tries to extort the book by coming to the forums...

Hey there are two sides to every story, I can't wait to hear the books side.

lol

A bet was made regarding an equally agreed situation. This became a contract, binding between the player and the sportsbook. I see a bet was agreed upon and the bet settled as agreed to in the wagering contract. I can't see harm in Pinnacle not having a half graded immediately either.

All the best

Dead on is dead wrong.

A. Try increasing the size of your bankroll so that you have the funds available to make a second half bet w/o having to rely on winning a 1st half bet and having it graded immediately.

B. You called them and they evidently graded your 1st half by that time. Then they gave you the line on the phone and you said OK and made your bet. They didn't force you to take the bet, but you did.

C. You won the bet in the end anyway. You look very foolish complaining about the nominal extra amount you should have won.

Pinnacle is right, but you have the "consolation" of 2 good wins.

dead on,

Pinnacle effectively has 2 means for wagering.

1) Telephone Wagering, normal vig

2) Online, reduced juice

If you wager via phone, you can't feel you are entitled to online vig. The fact that you were waiting on them to grade another wager isn't a valid point to your claim.
