Yes it is. Do you want to live longer? Do you want to see your kids grow older and walk them down the aisle? Do you want to play with your grand kids?

Don't be a pussy. Make a decision that will change the rest of your life and do it without excuses. Nobody feels sorry for a smoker.

Sorry to be so blunt but Willie is right. Public shaming does wonders to change an attitude.
it ain't that simple
don't expect anyone to feel sorry for me, why would I?
public shaming? an internet forum with people I do not know? please.

It is that simple. Suck it up. If you don't care what people on an internet forum think, you wouldn't have posted it here. I'm just telling you what you need to hear and you know it. I won't sugar coat it for you. Stay strong and kick this disgusting habit so you can live longer for your family.

just showed this thread to a non poster.

He trashed his remaining half pack and is on board.

Good stuff.

He is one of the guys I referenced with regards to quitting multiple times.

"If that fker can do it, so can I" he said...

hahaha..

It's brutal.

Situation:

We are watching the Dodger game, having a few beers.

he is dying for a smoke so we all chimed in. He is at $168.00 if he does not smoke during the game (top of the 4th). Owes noting if he fails.

This same guy (Lance) went to the doctor today and they found a scar on his lungs. He finally went in as he kept pushing it off. He never did stop smoking.

He is at the point to where he is constantly clearing his throat, every 10 seconds, and and coughs almost as frequent. Sadly, he is annoying to be around because of this. Literally, a pain to be around now.

Day 38, it's not an issue. But I still miss it and life is a little bit more boring without cigarettes as weird as that sounds, but it's all good, glad I quit.

Great job. Don't let your guard down. Remember what you swore to yourself when the urge surfaces. One lousy puff can screw the whole thing up.

Two old ladies in their 80's were outside their nursing home, having a smoke when it
started to rain. One of the ladies pulled out a condom, cut off the end, put it over her
cigarette and continued smoking.

Lady 1: "What's that?"

Lady 2: "A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet."

Lady 1: "Where did you get it?"

Lady 2: "You can get them at any drugstore."

The next day...Lady 1 hobbles herself into the local drugstore and announces to the pharmacist
that she wants a box of condoms. The guy looks at her kind of in shock, but politely ask what
brand she prefers.

Lady 1: "It doesn't matter as long as it fits a Camel."

Joking aside...hope you can kick the habit. I've never been a smoker so really don't understand
how hard it can be. Kick their ass!
