People assume if you don't have any known or visible underlying conditions, that they are exempt from this virus.
I can tell you first hand that's false.
My daughter of 25yrs old and her best friend's father in his 40' both no known underlying conditions, and they are struggling big time.
So one of two things is clear:
A. This virus can damage you even if you don't have existing conditions
OR
B. This virus predicts your future and finds underlying conditions and attacks them years & years before you or any doctor even knows it exists.
Don't assume you're safe.

Yep....its the ones who are not productive in society. Always hoping for the next gotcha moment.
I am seeing reports now that true Covid deaths are around 35k. I have a feeling that even the uneducated sheep are beginning to open their eyes and realize we all have been fleeced......especially when uncle sam cuts off the tit juice.
So, you want them to house anyone with covid like an apartment complex? They do this with everything. Unless you are seriously ill you go home. This is not unique.
Hospitals are empty because they are mostly focusing on covid. That means people have been scared by the media and stay away from hospitals or they are putting off many other things...thus empty
i have a nurse in the family working at the Brooklyn VA. 3 weeks ago she was assigned up to 10 patients at a time on vents but is down to now just 1 or 2 so starting today they have two completely empty floors and will begin accepting non-WuFlu patients and performing the previously non-essential procedures. so even NYC hospitals that were never overloaded are well under control.
remember it was "15 days to flatten the curve" so our hospitals weren't overrun...well, we're now at 52 days and states like mine are under even tighter restrictions than on March 15. Control is a powerful drug

I concur, it can impact anybody, nobody is making an argument that it only impacts the elderly or people with preexisting conditions
the argument is that the vast majority of deaths are elderly and / or preexisting conditions
and the vast majority that are not elderly and do not have preexisting conditions not only survive, many if not most are asymptomatic

As much as I hope for a full recovery for your family...I want to thank you for sharing your story. That is what is going to help people understand. Hearing it first hand from people will help people understand the severity of this virus.
I have heard many many stories that people think they have turned a corner on this and haven’t. It is creating problems for people in areas that they never had before.
There are many accounts of people in their 30’s turning a corner and then their immune system rips through their lung tissue and they drown. It’s called “cytokine storm.” It’s a covid effect.
I think it’s very important to take it seriously after you feel better. Have blood work done. Follow up with the doctors, etc.
