tonights bets
normally put 1 unit on all my cbb games, but these will be 1/2 units each, so that tells you how much i love these 3 games
penn -7 (opened at -9, loved harvard last night at +9)
columbia -2 (opened at -3- last night, yale owns this team
iona -1 (opened at P, so i chasing here, never good to do)
fyi - sat and sunday doubt very much that i will be anywhere near a computer tomorrow or sunday to post any bet, but here's what i do have
saturday - heavy weights boxing owen beck +175 over Barrett, dont know a dam thing about beck but i just loved chuck luck's right up about this fighter. You can see why pay per service suck in the suckers, it's with write up's like the one he had (check in the NFL forum under smokey wins)
i'm betting the over in the SB, also have the AFC -4-, but will lay a big chunk of this off is the line move in favor of NE including about 20% on the ML with eagles. If the line moves in fav of phil, i'll prob keep it all.
simple rule to follow on betting any game.
1. dont take who everyone else has (if 3 of 4 cappers have the same pick, either lay off or go the other way SF and NC State were good examples of that last night.
2. dont chase lines, or dont jump on them early because you know that it's going to move up. i dont see many closing the doors in the sports books here because of wrong lines and everyone killing the house
3. try to stay on the smaller lesser known teams, the bigger ones have great lines, and the games could go either way. that's why the pay per service give these kind of games out, because it's usually one thing that makes the game swing either way, and they have a built in excuse ready.
4. and finally if you see a game that cant lose, no way or no how, dont bet it, either lay off or go the other way
glta,
p.s. i'll try to get back at you tonight when i get back from the casino, but i know that i will not be in good enough shape to drive, let alone type.
i should be here for another 30 min or so
