Captain:
First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to you for all that you have selflessly contributed to these forums on a daily basis. The amount of time and effort that you have freely contributed to the RX should be appreciated by all. Wins and losses will come and go, but your generosity of giving is beyond reproach and can never be questioned.
Your thread today is very consistent with the events this oldman recalls when the RX went down one Saturday and you began to try and find a way to help your fellow posters receive your plays. And I recall SportsSavant assisting you in trying to learn how to provide your e-mail address out of a thread topic and into the bottom bar. I too would not know how to do this. It was an honest attempt at trying to help your fellow posters once again.
Further, I completely understand that feeling of helping fellow posters, particularly as they respond back to you that you have helped them or saved them from making a bad choice. It is intoxicating and does make one feel good and I believe you when you say that you fed off that positive feedback because I feel the same way as well. Nothing greater then hearing from a fellow poster who you have helped.
As for whether or not you decide to accept an opportunity to either be part of a group service or go out on your own, I support your right to make that choice. If one has a product or service to sell that others may be interested in purchasing, then that person should have every right to try and see if their product or service is marketable. After all this country was built by entrepreneurs who started with nothing but an idea and together, over time, have built this country into what it is today, although not perfect by any means, still globally respected for it's industrial accomplishments.
Should you decide to try this new endeavor, I want to wish you all the best and hope for your success. As this oldman does at times, I would only provide you with a word of caution that being involved in the service industry or going it alone should not be underestimated. Trust me when I tell you that it will not be easy to be successful in that business but with proper dedication, determination and honesty, one can make a good living if they are patient and have a long view to the future. Success will not happen overnight as nothing worthwhile comes easy.
Captain, whatever you decide to do, this oldman will support both your decision and your right to make that decision. Regardless, as I stated at the beginning of this reply, your time, effort, energy and all that you have provided selflessly to this forum should be appreciated by your fellow members, posters and viewers.
Wishing you the very best in making your decision..............Ted
