You're out of your damn mind. If Miss State beats Sipp, I'll quit betting football for the rest of the season...lol, yeah, know it's the last reg game for both, but no way in hell State wins the Eggs, ain't gonna happen. You watch their D??? They don't have one, so gotta watch real quick, as my man Corso likes to say.

and you said I was out of my mind when I said LSU was gonna beat them. Ole Miss will be Ol Miss

Going to put my two cents in, but first, I was wrong about last week. LSU's defense was better than expected, which was largely due to the crowd. That's my 12th Ole Miss/LSU game in Tiger Stadium. I've never been impressed with the whole "Tiger Stadium at Night" thing because it's really never been a factor when I was there. I assure you it was Saturday. I rank it as tied for the loudest football game I have ever been to(along with the Ole Miss/USCe 09 game on Thursday night). I mean...it was fucking LOUD. Bo got distracted by LSU fans behind the bench, and acted a buffoon. He lost his composure, plain and simple. Then, on the last play of the game we have exactly the play the staff wanted to get the ball about 8-10 yards closer and on the left hash. But Bo decides he's going to throw into double coverage, which even if the ball was caught was short of the endzone. It was a stupid play.

I also want to speak to the theory that LSU "gashed" Ole Miss in the running game. Nothing could be further from the truth until the last drive, when they DID gash us. Prior to that series, LSU had averaged 3.9/YPC. In the second half, they had 17 plays for 67 yards, and had two first downs total. They were in no way gashing anyone. On the last series, I attribute that to a few things: 1) We were missing three of our best defensive players that drive(Both Nkemdiche's, and Cody Prewitt). 2) Our defense was gassed because the offense had sputtered the entire second half. Ole Miss had almost 200 yards offense at half, but had less than 100 in the second half. The TOP ended up being 36/24, but it felt like 40/20 late in that game.

Give LSU credit. They came out and played their asses off defensively. Their fans took Bo out of the game mentally, which is a credit to them. But the fact is LSU still only scored 10 points, which leads me to the Auburn game......

I have no idea which Ole Miss offense is going to show up. Bo and Freeze have a difference of opinion right now on how the offense should be managed. Bo wants to open it up, Freeze doesn't. Bo wants to throw more, and Freeze doesn't seem to trust him to do that. To Freeze's defense, Bo has completed less than 50% of this passes in his last two games. A lot of that is the OL, but Bo has to own that, too.

This is typically the type game where Bo can play well. Auburn doesn't really pressure the QB, so Bo should be more comfortable than he was @ LSU. Everyone talks about his arm strength, but his issue is footwork more than arm strength. He got happy feet against LSU and just go nothing on the football. I don't think Auburn can do that to him. Ole Miss also has to do a better job getting Laquon involved. He had 6 targets at LSU. He caught 4 balls for 70 yards. They just have to figure a way to get him the ball more. He's easily the best offensive football player at a skill position on our team.....he needs the ball more.

As for the defense, Im worried about the injuries. Robert and Cody are both going to play, but neither is 100%. Denzel is out for the year. That being said, when Ole Miss put a spy on Marshall in the second half last year it completely shut down their offense. I would expect to see something similar this year with either Mike Hilton or Keith Lewis. Auburn has two really good receivers, but you have to make Marshall beat you through the air. Maybe he can, but that's less likely than him beating you on the ground. Ole Miss' starting defense has now allowed 3 TD's through 8 games. I don't know how much more than can do than that. I don't see Auburn being able to blow up and break 20 here on this defense, but that's possible if Cody and Robert can't go but 30-40 plays. This defense has now played 11 games in a row without giving up 20 points. That's astounding at any level, but especially with where CFB is today.

I expect the Rebs to come out ready Saturday. Been around a few of the kids, and they hate that they lost, but they also fully understand that all of their goals are still within reach, and they control it. Win out, and you're in. Lose, and you're out. The playoffs start this week for Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn, and MS State. However, of those teams, only Ole Miss and MS State completely control their own destiny. If you are a player, I don't think you can ask for more than that. Just win, and you are in.

Freeze is a smart man. Bo Wallace must be one some wild shit if he thinks he is deserving of opening the offense up. For Ole Miss to win, they have to keep him from turning the ball over and making stupid ass passes. The problem is they will have to score to keep up with Auburn. They will slow them, but not stop them. Without a doubt the toughest O to stop in the SEC.

I didn't say that.....I think. Mad Hatter is tough on Saturday night in Death Valley, but I hate that SOB. I have a bunch of friends from OSU (not Ohio, men), and not a damn one of them has a good thing to say about Miles. In fact, all of them would rather play cards with Jimmy than piss on Les to put a fire out, lol. GLTA this week, I'm planning on taking some BOL money, hell, might run...ok, fly...out to Vegas to get some of theirs, he, he, he. GS, yeah, TCU is in the running, but I like Snyder better than Patterson, little history there I can't explain.

so you think tcu wins this weekend?
I think it's going to be a close game. Problem is, whether TCU wins or not they have to play KSU next week. KSU caught OU after Texas, and then will catch TCU after WV. Two pretty good spots for the Cats. I'm not sure TCU can win both of those games. Gun to my head I would say they won't.

I'll stick to my guns as i stated in your thread last week, 1 down, 1 more to go this Saturday, if not then at Ark or Miss St gets em, still wouldn't surprise me they lose 3 total
:):)Om will win 2/3 at worse. There is a reason they're #4 in the poll. Will be #3 in a few days. Auburn defense is awful and nobody scores on ole miss. Om will win but don't think its a blow out..

Ole Miss hasn't seen a Offense like this all year. The D will have to score some or get some turnovers on the Auburn side of the field. I am a little worried about Ole Miss scoring.

People said that about TAMU. Then they said it about Bama. Then they said it about LSU's running game. In those three games, the starting defense gave up 1 TD in each game.

Im not worried about keeping Auburn WAY under their average. I am worried about us getting to our average.

Which is why the Hatter got the win. The D showed up and played to their potential. Freakin O forgot they were playing a real game. All good, they're still in the hunt, just brings them down to Big 12 level, lol. I watched both games side by side, imo, they're gonna kill Auburn, hell, Auburn let Spermier and the Cocks hang 35 on them, imagine what Bo is gonna do.

Important info for anyone considering betting this game:

Keep an eye on the injury report for Rebel LT Laremy Tunsil. He's an incredibly talented LT for Ole Miss who got hurt during LSU game. He is a sure fire first round pick. OL is a pretty thin position for the Rebs and when Tunsil goes out, it has a very meaningful impact on the Rebel offense.

This was extremely evident in the LSU game because Ole Miss' starting Center (Ben Still) did not play because of injury. This is a bad combination because our swing tackle (Robert Conyers) is a very good player BUT he is also the backup center.

So with Conyers playing Center again (Ben Still is doubtful again), if Laremy Tunsil cannot play, we have to play a freshman at tackle (Boldin)who got blown up against LSU when Tunsil went down with a bicep injury. In Boldin's defense, his first ever action was against LSU in Death Valley and was having to operate under a silent count so most anyone would've gotten blown up in that situation.

I'm hoping if it comes down to that, that they will go with a different center (Frigo or slide Justin Bell over and play Rod Taylor at Guard) so that Conyers could stay at backup tackle. But they didn't do that vs LSU so maybe they are not comfortable with anyone else snapping besides Still and Conyers.

Long story short, Laremy Tunsil is critical to Rebel offense. Probably just as important as Bo Wallace believe it or not.

I agree. Auburn is 10 points better offensively than Bama. We know the D blows ass.....so can Ole Miss get to 28?

I, for one, appreciate the intel. That being said, the game is being played in Oxford, no? So the frosh will have to step up to the plate and perform. Big freakin deal at home! That's what you signed on for. I watched a kid in Norman, goes by the moniker of AD, his freshman year, and he intentionally ran into guys, I mean, freakin looked to run over them. So if these guys are pussy's, maybe they're on the wrong team, no?

~T~ p.s. let me and the forum know if Sipp is a bunch of pussy's.

Tunsil, Prewitt, and R. Nkemdiche are all practicing and will be playing. Ben Still is practicing today, but they still aren't sure on him......should know more this afternoon. Denzel is obviously out.

One huge surprise for the Rebels is that Chief Brown, who tore his Achilles in freaking June, will be good to go. He' playing, and moving very well He was going to compete for the starting SS job coming into the fall, and was also Conner's backup at the Husky position. Getting him back with a dinged up Prewitt is a massive gain for the defense.

I was also told by and offensive GA today to expect the ball to be in the air much more this week, and to expect Treadwell and Engram to get more targets.
