Don't the folks who follow those teams use old Cool Whip bowls for their salad and follow NASCAR ?

Here is a simple rule:

If you have a job lined up or are a great salesman, truly top notch, you might make it 5 years. I say 2% chance you are here in 10 years, more like I should give you 6 months and you will be gone. No doubt about it. I live in Nevada only because I am among the few that has been lucky enough to get some good gigs in a corporate office. Most people get crap jobs often for crap pay. The people that make good money in Vegas are mostly scum or just damn good salespeople. It never fails to amaze me how many people are sales guys in town and how they all seem to make a living. It used to be you could deal cards or just sell change for the slots and make enough to have a middle class life, but those days are over. The saddest thing is how many times in both Vegas and Reno I see people that are insanely overqualified applying for some staff level job I did 5 years ago. I saw one guy had an MBA from Columbia and worked as a senior analyst for the World Bank in Singapore for 10 years. Here he was applying for a staff-level financial analyst job that are dime a dozen in any big city, one you need maybe 2 years of experience for if you were in New York or Philly. He is telling us how tough it has been looking for a job. HELLO!!! Would you hire someone that could be your boss? Of course not. I see tons of people like that in both cities, the desire to take any job just so one can live in Nevada is flat out insane.

Just another realistic perspective on it. Yes finding a job is not a problem. Finding a good one that will maintain your standard of living that you are used to is quite the challenge...
