Canada is pretty soft on Pot, from what I hear, esp. Vancouver (BC).

In Toronto they won't arrest you or ticket you for smoking a joint as long as you don't have a large amounts on you at the time. All they do is ask you to put it out.

I hear Denver is cool as well, but I'm no expert on pot laws.

TTinco could probably speak for Denver... Barman in general would know.

I'm not a pothead ( well a former one)... I can go months or years without it ( now), but I'll take a toke anytime. I've literally gone 5+ years not smoking it, never thought about it, then it's there, take a toke, might not do it again for a year. I used to smoke pot daily 20 years ago.

Harmless drug.

MJ is totally non-addictive, IMO. It should be legal

I don't think you need to be a resident to open a bank account.

I didn't have to , back 12 years ago.

Just come on over rent an apartment go to the bank tell them that you got the job here and you wanna open a bank account .Give them your address they will mail you a bank card a month later.

I would go and see Canadian immigration lowyer . He'll help you, it shouldn't take more then a year to get your permanent residence card. It will cost you between 5-7 k .

UK books are the safest in the world when it comes to gambling.
I should say 2ed best!!!!!!!!!!

Australian books are the best Canbet in particular .In Australia book has to have same amount of money with a government http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&c...&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=government&spell=1 bank as they do in deposits.Latest exemple "Portlandbet" went bankrupt last year and every one got paid!!! You can google the story.

My self i have "moneybookers" account you can deposit and withrow to any europian sportsbook .The safest by far "betfair" UK exchange .The biggest in the world.

If you deposit from your Bank account to Moneybookers . And lets say you won . You don't even have to call the book withrow money to Moneybookers 1-2 days .From moneybookers to your bank account 2-3 days .That's why i don't use visa .How ever once you open an account with moneybookers they will send you a mail(with a code) to your home address to verefy you .So you need to rent an apartment for sure. This is the best option by far you don't need to bag for your money nor send an e mails %^_.

Any way GL. And run fast before your goverment seals the border. :ohno:

Off the wall suggestion..

Thailand if you are all set financially is the place to go these days, especially for a single guy. There is a small but happy colony of ex pats from the US living there that swear by the place. From what I understand try to avoid the over populated city of Bangkok and settle along the coast. Forget Japan, way to expensive and strict as far as immigration goes..

Anyone who wants to move and continue to earn a legitimate weeks pay should consider Canada. Do your homework beforhand and set up a spot to live and earn before you make the change.

Any way .Quick example at my work we have a girl from Wales ,she is been here for more then a year ,she gets pay by the cheque .She doesn't know if she wants to stay or leave ,she never applied for the residency .No one bothers her .And we are a transportation company .She doesn't even have Canadian driver's license . LOL.
I know there is a 100.000's of Canadians live in Florida most of them go there when they retire . Half of them in St. Petersburg FL .Never heard of the story that any of them got deported :howdy:.
Unless you do some crazy shit you can stay as long as you want .
Double standart .That's for sure .

GL.

If you don't wanna overspend come to Montreal or Hull (province of Quebec ) Hull is just 5 min away from Ottawa Ontario(rent dirt cheap) .And you can start playing /gambling right away.

AT ANY CORNER STORE . JUST LIKE YOU BUY 6/49 ticket you can wager on sports.

Quebec lottery corp
http://pari-sportif.loto-quebec.com/pesweb/cmd/accueilparisportif

Ontario Lottery corp

http://proline.olg.ca/prolineEvents.do

The advantage of been /live between 2 states is great .Odds wise .
Ontario will favor Ottawa and Toronto to win most of the time knowing that majority will bet on there own team . And Quebec will have just an opposite . Quebec will do the opposite a specially when Montreal plays Hockey. With Quebec lottery(weekends) you can play soccer Player against a player . I find it great .

Check the "Pool results" with Ontario lottery corp .
CARD #23

http://proline.olg.ca/propicksCards.do

14 of 14 share Prize $573.537.000 , 1 Winners.

Check the other cards .

The thing is .
It's not that easy to win i know .My biggest win 57K .

But i didn't have to sweet payout. You win the money it's yours .Just like if you win 6/49. Except we don't pay taxes on winning. Tax free.

Understanding Canada for Dummies

Is that book available....They have every other Dummy book out there I think.

Personaly, I want simplicity and basically an English speaking area to live in.
I could be WAY WAY FAR OFF HERE; but I see Canada as kissing USA butt if ever asked. Yet during the VietNam era, young Americans went to Canada to avoid the military draft. So maybe it's easy; but I suspect they have tougher laws in some ways than here.

I just want to live in a country where; as long as you hurt noone else; all government stays out of your life. I guess that's only a dream. I mean think of this we have 50 states with mostly 25 different approaches to just about any law you can think of.....all a joke.

Thailand would be my first choice by far. That is, if it was easy to open a bank account there. Unfortunately, from what I have heard and read, it is pretty difficult unless you are moving there on a retirement visa (which you can only get once you hit 50 years of age). If you know any easier way, or have friends who have made the move and been successful, please let me know (by PM if you want).

I have experience in getting a Canadian TN visa.

The process is pretty much as described in the earlier post. The thing is that it all comes down to the person that you talk to at the border - they will literally make the decision to let you in or not. Being prepared helps and having your papers in order is good too. But also realize that no matter how ready you are, you might just catch a border agent on a bad day and you WILL get denied.

Thanks--I just ruled out Canada. Sounds EXACTLY like the US! Plus you get to pay lawyers here to tell "their side" of a nonsense argument.
