Max

Saw The Recruit, you were right. Fantastic movie.
Much, much better than i expected.

On Video

Over the last week, i saw (somewhat) a few DVD's.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
Just me i am sure, but, bored the living shit out of me.

One Hour Photo
Very good movie... And, i can't stand Robin Williams usually.
I have to admit, he makes a great basket-case.
Very good, highly rec. renting.

City By The Sea
Not bad. Pretty disappointing though. Was hoping for more. Way over dramatic for my taste.

X - Men
Bought DVD , could not remember watching it due to untimely stimulants...

Awesome.
I have never read the comic, know nothing about the people, didn't matter, unbelievably good movie. Can't wait for part2.

Memento
Just bought it (see above

Funny thing, Judge.

Saw this thread at the top and wanted to comment on Memento, before even seeing your post. Definitely, IMO, the movie of 2001.

Wanted to know if the other Pacino/ Williams movie, Insomnia, is worth it. I've heard both good and bad. But you know how that goes.

Thanks in advance.

Space.

Actually, it was me who posted about MEMENTO.

Either way, saw Insomnia a few months ago at the theater, and yeah, it is definitely worth renting.

Odd, i didn't even realize there were two recent Robin Williams flicks i would highly recommend.

Rent it, you won't regret it.

Thanks, Unc.

One too many Crowns tonight.

Will rent it tomorrow, if it's available yet.

Its funny, I was going to start this thread again today and comment on the Recruit. Saw that over the weekend and really enjoyed. Great twist, that female lead is irrestible, good action. A definiite solid entertainment.
More later

Yeah, i know, i don't get out of this fuking house much..
Hey, it beats jail.

Watched Road To Perdition this afternoon on DVD.
Actually, i saw it in the theatre too, but, i rented it anyway.

What an incredible damn movie.
If nothing else, rent it for the cinematography alone, or to see why Paul Newman is still one of the greatest actors alive.

Great story, about a guy trying to protect his son, while avenging the murders of his wife and younger son.

No flaws at all, great acting, great scenery, great musical score and great story = Great Movie.

While i am on the subject:

If you have never seen it, rent a copy of "Johnny Handsome".

Pretty much overlooked when it was released about 9 years ago.

Story more or less revolves around a facially disfigured criminal, who gets a chance at a second life after recieving facial reconstructive surgery.

Has to decide between living clean, and sharing a life with a woman who falls in love with him not knowing about his past, or, taking advantage of his new face and identity to get revenge on a group of people who murdered his best friend.

Mickey Rourkes best movie outside of "Pope of Greenwich Village" IMO, and some great camera work and music.

Give it a shot, let me know what you think.

Life of David Gale - absolutely awesome!

Spacey is one of the finest, I put him up there with Pacino/Deniro as my favorites. This movie is VERY well written, loved it.

Elite,Got to see Kevin Spacey a couple of years back on Broadway in the Iceman Cometh. You are dead right,he is up there with the best.
