truthteller,

You are so damn stupid it's shocking.

YOU asked what turmoil!!!!

The instability of sportsbooks in C.R. was sparked by pressure from the U.S. because the Costa Rican Embassador took a neutral stand on the war, NOT AGAINST THE WAR OR THE STATES, PHUCKING NEUTRAL, which kind of makes sense from a country with no military! Since I see you have no foresight whatsoever, I'll explain this. There are 12,000 or more people working in sportsbooks in C.R., at an average of $800 per employee per month, that's $9,600,000 moving through their economy on a monthly basis. That aside from office space rental, phone/internet services paid, computer purchases, etc. The loss of the industry would cause resession if not depression. Now here's the bite in the ass, the U.S. has a long history of subsidising C.R., as it is a strategically located, peaceful ally of the states. United fruit and Dole have history here. Numerous products manufactured here are exported to the states. The oil crisis of the 70's was not felt here because of U.S. assistance. Ollie North used to hang out here at the Del Rey when Ronnie Raygun was phucking up Nicaragua. The Costa Rica jungles were also used for military training bases and hidden landing strips during that time period. Now a days, it's a location used to try and break down drug trafficing channels. It's going get expensive to keep up the habit of maintaining economic stability if they screw up the C.R. sportsbook industry.

Now apart from all that Costa Rica houses, something like 30,000 American and Candians. It has been an ally for years, is not a potential threat as they have no military and don't not believe in war. However you would write them off for not having our French-fobia. Funny that conservatives always go on and on about freedom and rights, and that one of our most important rights be freedom of expression, yet they seem to want to embargo or bomb anybody with a different opinion than us.

truthteller you are a simple, small minded man that perpetuates the stereotype across the globe that we Americans are ignorant, self-centered, nationalistic bafoons, without a clue as to what goes on in the world.

Don't you have any phucking common sense. 90% of that money comes from the US! Because of the US, you can point out those numbers. CR has a right to give the US support for all it has done for that country. If they don't, the US deserves to retaliate in whatever manner it chooses. Rememember in the 70's when they were lines for basics like rice and beans? Who bailed them out? The US. I guess you don't know about that cause you are the isolated and closed minded one.

I have been to over 35 countries so don't tell me about knowing what goes on in the world you moron. I can't be nationalistic either since I don't hold a US passport.

All your bite in the ass shit is just that, shit. Costa Rica is not the only country that has a jungle or export fruits.

Believe me, CR needs the US than the US needs them.

truthy
You get dumber by the minute.

Helping a country is a show of good will. If you expect them to blindly support us on all issues because we helped them through a time of hunger that turns a humanitarian act into one of the dirtiest forms of manipulation. Doing business with a country doesn't give you the right to dictate policy either.

You by the way are the one with no commun sense, that money comes here because our puritanical bullshit origins say gambling is bad and our government won't allow it. Talk common sense, for crist's sakes, that money comes from gamblers breaking the law, not the government. However since the Costa Rican government allows it and the U.S. government is the bully on the block it's an easy way to push C.R. around.

Finally, again you show that you don't have much of a clue. I'm not talking imported fruit or even coffee for that matter, apparently you are stuck in the 70's you mentioned. Also your take about lines for rice & coffee, um fut n duh wilber, your emphazizing my point, the U.S. always bails C.R. out. Any way as far as exported products, I'm talking about the Levis and Hanes you wear. I'm talking about Intel and Motorola products, baseballs are even made here.

Another point on your idiocy...
"I can't be nationalistic either since I don't hold a US passport."
....not holding a passport shows no interest in being any where but the States, which reflects a nationalistic attitude.

Another still...
"I have been to over 35 countries so don't tell me about knowing what goes on in the world you moron."
...while this statement sounds pretty far fetched from a person like you, we'll assume for arguement's sake it's true. With the closed minded attitudes you constantly express, your supposed travels just prove that you lack the ability to learn from new cultures and experiences.

"Believe me, CR needs the US than the US needs them."
I imagine you were trying to say that C.R. needs the U.S. more than vice versa, but you must have gotten flustered. However I did get the idea and would like to say brilliant job of stating the office. I never said any different, I simply said that phucking over the C.R. economy is kind of stupid when the unwritten policy has always been to bail them out. It's creating a greater expense for yourself.

Well I'm finished with you truthy, your arguements are so lame they go against yourself, I've just pointed out a few examples of that. Aside from that you're boring, I say you're retarded, you say I'm retarded, I say you're closed minded, you say I'm closed minded. Zero originality, just one more display of that amazing intellect of yours.

You are an idiot and wouldn't waste my time on a degenerate.

One question though, how many times have you been convicted in the US. Just to let you know I speak Spanish fluently after been in CR for only 3 years so that goes your argument about not adapting. Can I say the same for you?

Twice for underaged drinking, pretty serious criminal activity huh?

Was more fluent than most "gringos" I've met living in C.R. in less than a year, learned well enough to go to college in Spanish, and at times get confused as a Tico due to the level of my Spanish.

Degenerate, me, funny stuff, I guess if you equate liberal to degenerate. Because I'm an average joe family man, go to work, spend my free time with my family, live a quiet life in a decent neighborhood, donate to charities every now and again, hell I barely even gamble.
