I use the same criteria but i use the 5-6 teams last game. you also must handicap it isn't cut and dry. here are my results

Good stuff, but I don't like the angle solely based on needing the win. 5-6 teams are 5-6 for a reason: They are not very good. In many cases they get overbet.

That being said, when playing vs. potential unmotivated teams they can be good plays. On your list Pittsburgh is one I like. MFla had its bubble burst in the tough loss against Florida State and played listless (thanks) the next week vs. a RESTED Virginia team that was motivated. Pittsburgh is off a win and motivated. Miami appears to be playing out the string.

4 WINS AND 3 losses... Tim motivation is a very important handicapping varible when as you said the other team has no movtivation ......two possibities next week oklahoma state at oklahoma and temple at tulane..

Pitt stood out (see my earlier post). Absolutely loved it, as Miami attendance goes down when team is not playing someone elite, and this was a holiday weekend. Their season ended two weeks ago. That was fun.
