Just an excuse to get drunk.............can never have enough of those!

Anywho.........I'm no scientist, but I'd have to guess our mild winter has to do with the fact that the sun has been shooting major solar flares in Earth's direction the last couple of months.

This has been a great Winter in the Northeast. Well deserved after the last two brutal ones which dropped tons of snow on the New York-Philadelphia-Washington cooridor. The people who are complaining the most other than kids and skiers are metorologists. These crybabies have been made irrelevant this Winter. Elliot Abrams, Henry Margusity and Joe Bastardi from Accuweather. There is an ex-TV weatherman from Philly named Rob Guarino who has a weather blog and site who just wails about the lack of snow. You have understand the psychology of Mets. They live for this stuff. They want paralyzing 25-30 inch snows along the I-95 cooridor. They pour over charts showing the NAO-North Atlantic Oscillation. They look for masses of cold air from the artic to drop down to the lower 48 and warm pools of mositure to come up from the gulf to create blizzards. I have never spoken to a person who has a 9-5 job and has to get to work be happy about snow. If you live in the Northeast you have to deal with it. It might look great on your lawn and backyard and it's great if your eight or nine years old and school is cancelled. I always wonder how the Meteorologists feel when a sixty year old man dies from a heart attack shoveling snow or a mother and child get killed hitting a pole in their car skidding during an ice storm. Do they ever bother to think how ice and snow affects peoples lives instead of worrying about TV ratings and blog hits.
