The dumb Mexican is back...

Hey Pancho, if you're ever in Montreal, (and you're only 4.5 hrs by car) come pay me a visit, so I can do 3 things to you. 1) Show you how much better I live than you.. My house is very neat, and not messy..2) I can show you who's the fatso. Kid, I am now 194 lbs, and in the best shape of my life. Did you know that I have been running now on the streets here for the last 3 weeks. I swear to God, I run 4-5 days a week now and about 4-8 miles a day. And 3) To kick your dumb Mexican ass..

And by the way, you call me the fatso and you were the one who created a thread at MW about if the Atkins diet really works. So STFU you fatso..

sick, A question about running...I have always wanted to get back into running but for some reason I can`t seem to get over the stiffness when I try...Your just a couple years older than me, are you having this problem? I use to be able to run like the wind but now I seem to have lost it ,lol...

I see this commercial where this woman in her 50`s rund a 5 minute mile and thats my goal...I tried this a few years ago, to work up to a 5 minute mile...I never got close, I think my weight works against me ...It seems to be more to it though...I really believed I could work my way up to a 5 minute mile, using the same philosophy I`ve used in weightlifting all these years to just get marginally better each day...It doesn t seem to work with running though...

Journey,

you have come to the right place kiddo. I swear to god, 7 yrs ago, i was running 12 to 14 miles a day and just flying and never getting tired. I always ran on the streets, and I used to outrun buses, and those were the best days of my life. I was in great shape. Then i got lazy and older, and heavier, and I stopped running completely. So then I lost 52 lbs and told myself that I will start again. 3 weeks ago, I started up and I swear, I could not run more than 100 yards without clutching my heart. So I went to the track, the 1/4 mile track here, not the streets because I didn't want to make a fool out of myself. So the first day was tough, then as each day went along Journey, it got easier and easier, and i never gave up. After about 12 runs, I am now flying on the streets here like I am 28 again. I never get tired. I can run forever. Here is a guy who would be out of breath going up 11 steps just 4 months ago, and today, I am in the best shape of my life, well at least since 1994. The trick to getting back to 5 min mile Journey is do intervals. This has really helped me. I sprint 1/4 mile, then i walk a 1/4 mile. Repeat the process. That's how you gain back your endurance. I never thought it was possible that an out of shape 38 yr old can do this again. It was my dream to be able to run again like the old days, and made me realize that you really can turn back the clock, and it is a good feeling. People told me, Claude, you will never be able to run again like your old days, you are too old now.. F uck that, not true Journey. If you really want it, you can get it back. It's like riding a bicycle, once you have it in you, you can get it back. I feel like i'm 28 again.. I sleep better now, have way way more energy now, and I feel great. It is the best thing in the world.. And you will NEVER ever get fat again if you run. It is very relaxing too. I got my walkman all the time on me. But I did used to walk 30 miles a week prior to this, so maybe that helped me a bit, I don't know. Now I hate walking, I just want to run. Get back into it Journey, you will love yourself more, and feel great about yourself when you go out.. your body will look great man. Nothing beats running kid.. It beats walking, swimming and weights.
