Louey, I would lay the points either way if the Bucs got beat or did not to Philly last year.

I am getting fed up with every post you do being informative & sensible. Half the fun on this forum is reading the rubbish people think up.

the only line movement that matters is the stardust, is that where you are following it?
these offshore places move their lines all over the place, cause they are scared,

seems way too easy to take the superbowl champs as a dog against a team who they easily handled in the championship game

its early but my lean would be on the eagles ,

There have been seven instances over the past 27 years where the two teams that met in one of the conference finals faced each other on Opening Day the following season. Here is how they fared in those Week One contests, with the first team listed being the one that won the conference title:

1976 Steelers @ Raiders 28-31L
1978 Broncos vs. Raiders 14-6W
1980 Steelers vs. Oilers 31-17W
1983 Redskins +3 vs. Cowboys 30-31L
1991 Giants -1.5 vs. 49'ers 16-14W
1999 Falcons +4 vs. Vikings 14-17L
2002 Patriots +3 vs. Steelers 30-14W

As you can see, even the teams that lost did so by three points or less. And the three teams on that list that won as Super Bowl underdogs like the Bucs did, ('83 Skins, '91 Giants & '02 Patriots) all covered the number. Good luck whichever side you're on.

Hey guys first post to this form. I'm a huge Eagles fan and a value player. This is a tough game to call. I'd wait for the money line and take the team in pewter for the best risk to reward. However, watch out for the birds this year they have a ton of young talent that most people aren't really aware of.

As someone mentioned above, this game may be one to stay away from completely. I just feel there are too many question marks for both teams. How will the Eagles respond to the new stadium?.....How will Philli's defense bounce back after losing so many key players on defense, Brian Mitchell on special teams who always seemed to give them a spark when most needed?.......Will Tampa have the same hunger as they did before they won a Championship, even with what may be an improved team over last years?.......among many more questions up in the air still.....
