I remember seeing Kirby Puckett's numbers drop the year after he signed a big contract. I'm not saying all ballplayers do this but I'm sure it's a factor for some of them.

nothing.. If you think a team that wanted SUP would have based it entirely on today you don't know a thing..

you know what your getting with Suppan, you just want to make sure he still has what he always did.. and as far as his stock, the man is under contract... if he plays somewhere else or not is secondary to his lively hood... This isn't little league were you want to only play on the best team in the league ace... they all pay at this level..

I really do like reading your thoughts on wind playing a major factor in games and people showing there stuff for other team so they can get traded.. you sound very well educated on the practices of big league baseball... I think the fact that alomar is chewing bubble gum when batting is the main reason for his lack of productivity this year, would you agree?

AND don't pat yourself on the back to much there guy.. you layed wood for a run and a half on your boy suppan.. it wasn't like you played it straight and collected the dog play for the extra cash..

I agree with you on the wind, at many places no factor whatsoever (that wasn't my post, I just agreed it affected the line), like in cleveland, comerica, seatle, the list goes on any dome, there is only one team that plays by
a lake where it matters. But it still does affect the line (WHY DO THEY PUT THIS INFO UP AT GAMBLING INFO SITES???) i pounded the under yesterday in detroit and cleveland yesterday.
For Suppan playing for the Pirates probably for the last time in his mind, this was a big game for him in my opinion. I respect your opinion that it didn't, GL.

I can't pat myself on the back cherry picking a win on the run-line. A drunked mush with baseless reasons is gonna stumble upon a win occasionally also, I'm not one. Suppan top 15 in NL in era now vs Tomko had some value, and on the road if there is a tie situation, you look good even though you can get bad beat by a homer. Lost my Tomko over play (which has been cashing in at over 70% TY) but won a reds over play, so 2-1 so far today.

Jeff Suppan is the best starter on the block right now. Escobar, and Lidle are getting shelled, Ponson is in a major contract dispute. Jeff Kinney is a lateral move anywhere he goes. The problem with Suppan is the Pirates might want to deal him with Jason Kendall and his contract attached. I know the Cards and Red Sox would like Suppan. Although the Bosox may end up with Escobar. I really think Suppan is the better arm in the short term.

Emotion is a huge factor for athletes. They step their game up like any other human being. During the playoffs you'll see pitchers pitdch better than they ever had before. Wind, temperature and humidity are huge factors in totals. The ball carries much better in some stadiums during the day. Also at other stadiums shadows play a huge factor as do umpires. Guys wouldn't be down 3,000 units if they would take all these factors into consideration.

lol.. raiders, the fact that you would post the ball carries better during the day when it's warmer, as if noone knew that speaks volumes.. you play overs when the wind is blowing out at parks were it doesn't matter.. Yet here you are speaking of umpires and temps. like you have a clue.. I may be out, it happens, but don't come in here acting the part after your thread yesterday..lmao.. if you want a good laugh go to the rr and put together the thread from raiders yesterday on his factoring of wind direction in his plays.. GOOD SHIT... lol

yes emotion plays a factor in sports.. in baseball however emotion can be a curse as well as a blessing.. The point that evryone understands raiders is this.. SUPPAN PLAYS TO HIS MAX EVERY OUTING.. HIS SHIT ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH NOT TO...

I know you don't understand this, but it was still worth noting..
