NE came in with a rookie back up QB and put up 38 on the Browns in Cleveland, 300 yds passing by Zappe.
Burrow & Co shut out so far, will get some garbage time points in the 4th, but they are exposed. Revamped OL with several FA signings is a “fail” so far.
Chase is a generational talent at WRSuper Bowl team should not be this bad after losing a star receiver.
Situations/systemsPlease explain
They're not a Super Bowl teamSuper Bowl team should not be this bad after losing a star receiver.
I agree with some situational football but stuff like:Situations/systems
Not every game is about who is better and who can pass/run and stop pass/run
As an example I said about the Bears game
Teams off 20 point wins as a dog on the road tend to not cover next game
Certain situations give advantages
Monday Night division home dogs
Back to back roadies
Three roadies in a row
All kinds of things depending on what happens in previous game/games
Combine that with knowledge of teams
There are lots of them
Just have to look at things in a weird way
Many systems are out there
Some make sense some don't
Also injuries
You are great with injuries and matchups(better than me)but gotta understand how important situations are
Hopefully they come out on fire and ready to go against Panthers after this loss. Take care of them and get to the bye at 5-4.View attachment 49162
Not many wins left on the Bengals schedule imo---this team will miss the playoffs this year, pathetic
Sure it is you just have to understand whyI agree with some situational football but stuff like:
“Teams off 20 point wins as a dog on the road tend to not cover next game” to me is not credible.
Sure home division dog and other situations are valid.
Brian Burns is gonna get after Joe next Sunday .They're not a Super Bowl team
They still could be a very good team in the end, but they had a bad night tonight and they have some things to fix.
A couple guys on defense out, Reader missing, not good against a running attack like this
Burrow has been pretty sensational recently, more so than Chase . 16 TD, 1 TO , led the league in passer rating Weeks 2-7. But he was bad tonight
I clearly meant they were a Super Bowl team last year. They're not a Super Bowl team

That is true about Browns, and my b about misinterpretationI clearly meant they were a Super Bowl team last year. And Cleveland was banged up just as bad as The Bengals look at the depth charts going into tonight. But I have often cited how out of control these mutant HGH power lifters are, there are way way too many injuries, media just talks about the current week inactive don’t explain that 10 others are already out.
I am a bigger situational pick guy than you think but there are so many ridiculous stats bantered around this board that hurt innocent bystanders — ha —- who think the situations or ridiculous stats are valid. You are good at it but I disagree with the 20 point win example and some others you use.Sure it is you just have to understand why
If you are a dog on the road that means you are either similar or a worse team. What does it take to win by 20 or more on the road to an equal or better team?
Lots of effort
Outplaying your ability mean maximum full effort the entire game
Wears on a team
Psychologically too it may make you believe you are better than you are
Next game outcome likely not good
Agree injuries* seem to be at an all time high and are being systematically downplayed (covered up). That is true about Browns, and my b about misinterpretation
It seems like injuries are at an all time high this year. Maybe I'm wrong but just seems like all over the place for key pieces that aren't star WRs like Chase
That and shitty penalties
