It is surprising that wouldn’t be hashed out by now, maybe today.

But you would think they have contingency plans in place for unforeseen cancellation issues like this
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the league office is weighing two options:

1. Don’t make up the Bills-Bengals game, and let the standings stand where they may, with the Bills and Bengals each playing 16 games on the season instead of the requisite 17. This would suddenly set up the Chiefs to snag the AFC’s top seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win this Saturday against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs entered this past weekend’s slate of games in the #2 slot, with the Bills at #1.

If the league went with this option, the Chiefs would finish with the same number of losses, but one more win, than the Bills, since the Bills would be missing a game on their schedule.

2. Push back the playoffs by a week, with the Bills and Bengals making up their game during the weekend of Jan. 14, which is when the NFL playoffs were supposed to begin. In this case, the playoffs would instead begin the weekend of Jan. 21, and the extra week between the conference title games and the Super Bowl would be eliminated. The conference championships and Super Bowl would then be played on back-to-back Sundays.

If the league chose this option, the Chiefs would not get the top seed and first-round bye unless they defeated the Raiders this Saturday AND the Bills lost at least one of their last two games against the New England Patriots this Sunday or against the Bengals the following weekend.

I think they also want to wait and see if Hamlin pulls through....going to wait and see for as long as they can...

If he comes out of this option 2 if he weren't option 1.(imo)

Option #1
Too many logistical issues with pushing back the playoffs...
A Bills-Cincy game, if they play it again soon, now, would be a huge national (i.e. not just football fans) eerie overblown haunting media public clown show clusterschtook, the site of the incident, the place on the field of the collapse.

Option #1 is highly unfair to both the Bills and Bengals.

Another NFL reporter said that the league office was considering essentially a lottery system to help determine the top AFC seeds in the playoffs.

Sounds like he is doing well. We'll see.

Cincy hosts the Ravens this week , so that might be a buffer before a Bills rematch on same field. Not saying its ideal.

Great news! Hope he continues to improve, still not out of the woods yet. Those first responders saved his life because that immediate medical attention was the key. Keep the good news coming! The power of modern medicine.

I still don't believe he is completely breathing on his own but its improving.

Once he can breath without assistance---that will be the big step and hopefully he pulls through.

Are you serious? I’m not sure why people can’t see the obvious.

Nothing about left, right or conspiracy theories. There will be a lawsuit in this Demar case.

If I took this vaccine I would be highly concerned.

This is just the beginning.
So you think there is 0% chance that someone could develop heart issues from all the stress, anxiety and depression developed from the pandemic? 0% chance?

Turbo Cancer! ? ? ?

Confirmed: Covid Boosters Trigger Metastasis

STORY AT-A-GLANCE
  • Cancer rates have increased since the introduction of the COVID shots and is now one of the top three leading causes of premature death among younger adults — a trend that in turn is driving down U.S. life expectancy
  • The leading causes of death in 2021 were heart disease and cancer, both of which are potential side effects of the COVID jabs
  • Dr. Angus Dalgleish, professor of oncology at St. George’s University of London, warns that COVID boosters may be causing aggressive metastatic cancers
  • Research shows SARS-CoV-2 spike protein obliterates 90% of the DNA repair mechanism in lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that helps your body fight infection and chronic disease, including cancer
  • The COVID jab is less effective in lymphoma patients. Emory University researchers found only 68% of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia developed neutralizing antibodies after the second dose, compared to 100% of healthy controls

Anything is possible. The fear they push in people. Yea. But it’s more probably the vax will have more and more issues as time goes on. Wait until high school athletes start dropping

This is one that needs to be explained to me.

Did you guys actually not see friends and family? Not like this was really enforced.

I thought it was kinda fun. No one has to really work no traffic on the roads. I also enjoyed the break from sports betting. Obviously poker and shit was still around.

I never felt trapped. But just me and obviously different for others...Grandparents thing would have sucked but my had already passed by that time, also funerals is understandable or loved ones in the hospital.

Great to hear you loved the brief dry run of the Great Reset and UN Agenda 2030 - "You'll own nothing and be happy!"

(And you won't have unlimited movement to leave your designated 'zone' either, thanks to "climate lockdowns" in WEF "smart cities")

A lot of pushback for option 2 because of the amount of rest for teams, but that seems like the least concerning of unfair outcomes IMO

Extra weeks off at this year can help get a player or two healthy if needed, but no one is going to be "rested" at this time of year
