This may be stupid question but bare with me because I am loaded with them. When someone plays a unit. For example is washington is -143. If I am playing 100.00 per unit. Would I risk 100.00? Or would I lay the 143 to win the 100.00?

Everyone who gambles does. (i) you never say "it is in the bank" "it is over" or "is looking good" or similar things; and (ii) never mark a game as a winner until it is over. Frankly, I am of the opinion you rarely say anything positive about a game you are winning.
Yea cause saying "this game is a lock" or "this game is in the bag" on an internet message board is going to affect what is happening a thousand miles away. I cant believe there are people on the earth that still believe in such nonsense. It may be fun to pretend it actually happens and chastise people for "jinxing" the game - but please don't think there is any correlation.
