The San Antonio Spurs look for a second straight victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder when the two teams meet in Game 2 of their Western Conference semi-final series.
Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. PT at the AT&T Center where the Spurs are favored by 7.5 with the total at 202.5. In Game 1, San Antonio led by 23 points in the first quarter and were up 73-40 at the break en route to a 124-92 victory.
The Thunder (59-29, 40-47 ATS) not only had problems on defense but were stymied on the offensive end. Kevin Durant was held to 16 points on 6 of 15 shooting while Russell Westbrook had just 14 on 5 of 19. Both players were stymied by NBA Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard who took turns defending each player. Durant has scored less than 20 points in two of Oklahoma City’s six playoff games.
The Spurs (72-15, 48-39 ATS) were as good as it gets in the series opener, going 18 of 22 from the field in the first quarter while setting a postseason franchise record with 43 points. They shot 60.7 percent as a team led by LaMarcus Aldridge who scored 38 points on 18 of 23 shooting. Leonard added 28 points including 25 in the first-half.
San Antonio is 5-1 ATS in its last six games and 7-1 in its past eight conference semifinals. The Thunder are 4-0 to the OVER in its last four games overall and 7-1 in their past eight road games.
