# 4 SONG IN MY HEART 6/1

# 7 MAC KEMP 5/1

# 8 CANTAB'S SONG 3/1

We've got an instinct SONG IN MY HEART is going to get the score. Has been running competitively lately and his style of running should result in a huge performance. The panel of smart guys gives this fine animal a nice chance to win this one, class ratings are tops in the bunch. MAC KEMP - This race could be controlled by this gelding. One look at the avgerage speed rating will confirm that. Good for a win wager just off the terrific prior class numbers. Have to like this nice horse. CANTAB'S SONG - Positive feeling - running well enough to contend in this race. Sometimes you just have to go with an instinct, love this one's chances.

# 6 JDS CALEB MAN 7/1

# 3 ROCKNROLL BAND 15/1

# 1 COWBOY CODY 7/1

The consensus for this race is that JDS CALEB MAN is the one to beat especially at a long price. This race may be controlled by this gelding. Just one look at the avgerage TrackMaster SR will prove that. Quite possibly the class of the group with an average rating of 86. A nice contender. Had one of the finest speed figs of the bunch in his last race. A good idea to use in your plays. ROCKNROLL BAND - Achieved a 80 speed figure last time out. A duplicate event here should get the victory in this race. COWBOY CODY - Feel the need for speed, this contender has been turning in some great TrackMaster speed figs averaging around 84. Macdonald and Cirasuola have a very nice working relationship. Exemplary results from their races.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

The Walker Group Picks

# 4 BOLD HARMONY 3/1

# 3 CAPTAIN SPITLER 9/2

# 11 SMOKY FOUR 20/1

BOLD HARMONY is the top wager in this race. Recently Colon has been hot which may give the edge to this gelding. Must be considered for this event if only for the respectable Equibase Speed Figure earned in the last race. Vaunts reliable speed figs on average overall when compared with the rest of this field. CAPTAIN SPITLER - Has to be given a chance against this group of horses in this race displaying respectable figures lately and an average Equibase speed fig of 78 under similar conditions. Could beat this field given the 75 Equibase speed fig recorded in his last outing.

FOR MAIDENS, FILLIES TWO YEARS OLD. WEIGHT, 120 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $25,000, FOR EACH $2,500 TO $20,000 2 LBS.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES

The Walker Group Picks

# 5 WAKE UP MAMA 7/2

# 4 EMILY GRACE 5/2

# 9 BRAVE GIRL 9/2

WAKE UP MAMA has a respectable shot to take this race. Will probably go to the lead and could never look back. Could provide positive profits based on very good recent Equibase Speed Figures with an average of 57. Her earnings per start in dirt sprint races alone makes you take a look at her. EMILY GRACE - Has been racing soundly and has among the top speed in the race for today's distance. Solid rider with conditioner numbers make this horse a very solid choice. BRAVE GIRL - Has been running in the most competitive company of the group lately. Lake has a formidable 20 percent win rate with entries running at this distance and surface.

#7 PERFECT DANCING (ML=4/1)

PERFECT DANCING - This horse's last race was out at Saratoga in a race with an Equibase class figure of 84. Dropping significantly in Equibase class figure today puts him in a solid position right here. Has a pretty good chance to break maiden changing over to the main track right here.

Vulnerable Contenders: #8 REALLY B CAT (ML=3/1), #10 BEAU MADRE (ML=7/2), #5 SHOW OF FORCE (ML=5/1),

REALLY B CAT - I'd like to see more preferred recent efforts with morning line odds of 3/1. Hard to expect this gelding to be in shape after the extended time off. BEAU MADRE - Doesn't seem to be in a convenient spot today. SHOW OF FORCE - Didn't do much last time. Probably won't make a winning move in today's race. This steed ran a run-of-the-mill rating last time out. He shouldn't run better and will likely get beat in today's event running that number.

STRAIGHT WAGERS:
Bet on #7 PERFECT DANCING to win if we can get at least 1/1 odds

#10 INTERCHANGE (ML=8/1)
#9 CHAMP JOEY (ML=20/1)
#2 ROCKET SIXTYSIX (ML=12/1)

INTERCHANGE - This gelding is in first-rate form right now. Finished third in the last race and comes back quickly. That 95 fig this gelding notched in his last affair tells me he's a major player today. CHAMP JOEY - The jock/conditioner tandem of Molina and Jenkins has a strong ROI together. Expect this gelding to be way back early and come finishing well. 60-78-86 are last 3 speed figs. Improving each time out is something he should do again today. ROCKET SIXTYSIX - You'll be making money right and left by turning your gambling cash onto this jock/conditioner combination. Last race out, finished eighth in the slop at Penn National. Has to do better in this field.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 KAY'S FINESSE (ML=5/2), #3 COVER OF DARKNESS (ML=4/1), #4 ROQUE BLUFF (ML=9/2),

KAY'S FINESSE - Trying to beat this thoroughbred this time at the price of 5/2. COVER OF DARKNESS - This horse hasn't been near the winner at the finish line of late. ROQUE BLUFF - This horse ran a quite unimpressive speed rating last time around the track. He shouldn't run much better and will probably get beat today running that figure.

Bet on #10 INTERCHANGE to win if we can get at least 3/1 odds

8½ FURLONGS WINTERIZED INNER DIRT TRACK MAIDENS THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD $25,000.00 CLAIMING $31,000.00 PURSE

#1 ALEANDER / #1A CONSTANTINE
#8 IDENTITY CRISIS
#6 TAPIN MOJO
#7 GO SHINING

#1A ALEANDER takes a class drop (-12), and is the overall speed leader in this claiming field racing at, or about, this afternoon's distance of 8½ furlongs on the dirt, and has turned in "POWER RUN PERFORMANCES" in five straight, including "board hits" in each of his last three respective outings. Jockey Charles Lopez and Trainer David Jacobson send him to the post .... they've hit the board with with 68% of their entries saddled as a team to date. Jacobson also saddles the stablemate, #1A CONSTANTINE, a much less talented entry, whom I would not suggest using as a "key" if ALEANDER is scratched. #8 IDENTITY CRISIS has hit the board in three of his last four outings, with two of those "board hit efforts" also qualifying as "POWER RUNS."

Spot Play: I C D MOOLAH (11th)

Race 1

(10) SIX BAX has won each of his last three starts and four of his last five at this level. (5) TYMAL COLOSSUS draws well and is fresh off a win for trainer Moreau. (8) JUSTALITTLEFASTER has been racing much better as of late and has been offering a solid late kick. He's a good option for the triactor at a price.

Race 2

(6) SPORTS WARNING qualified very impressively by open lengths with a good final frame. He appears to be the horse to beat. (8) DESERONTO comes from the Lindsey barn and finished a game second last week in a speedy time. (4) HIS BOY ELROY settled for second last week as the favourite and can't be overlooked again this start. He draws inside and shows the speed for this class.

Race 3

(1) K T BIRD recently moved into the Henriksen barn and qualified well. He may offer a nice price in his pari-mutuel debut and is capable. (4) TELLMEHOWYOULIKEIT draws well, has a good overall record this season and will look for a rebound effort. He was a beaten favourite last start and will aim for a better trip. (3) DOWEYPUFFANDHOW finished third last week for trainer Bax and may offer a price in here again.

Race 4

(3) DIANES SHARK draws well and closed very well in his latest. The gelding has some speed and was a beaten favourite last start. (1) LOST IN PANSLATION draws the rail, gets Jamieson in the bike and has terrific gate-speed. (3) F TWENTY TWO comes from a high percentage trainer and drops into this bottom-end claiming class.

Race 5

(7) J JS DELIVERY has found the wire in two of his last three starts. (5) TURBO MACH hasn't missed the board in four career starts, draws well and will offer a short price. (2) SERIOUS MATTER has hit the board in two of his last three outings and has been offering a double digit price.

Race 6

(6) JOSHUA MY BOY drops into this bottom class and is due for a winning effort. (3) MIRAMONTMAN disappointed last week as the favourite in this class and will offer a low price again this week. (1) WHY DONT YOU STAY gets the rail and has hit the board in each of his last two starts for trainer O'Sullivan.

Race 7

(2) MIYAGI HANOVER draws inside and drops into this bottom condition level. He comes from the Auciello barn and shows the speed for this class. (1) CHEVOUS COLE has been knocking on the door as of late and is capable of another strong effort. (5) JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL is a good option if you're price shopping as the mare continues to be a player in this class.

Race 8

(7) URBANA BAYAMA was very impressive last week in his first start of the season. He can only improve off that effort this week. (1) THE OPTOMIST draws inside, comes from the Goodwin barn and won in this class last week. (2) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ has hit the board in each of his last five starts, draws well and can't be overlooked for the triactor.

Race 9

(7) A REAL COMMITMENT was a winner last week in this class for the debut of trainer Moreau. (5) ONE NIGHT DANCE has hit the board in each of her last two starts and gets Jamieson again this week. (10) DAPPLE APPLE finished a game second last week from an outside post and has a solid overall record this season.

Race 10

(7) RECKON IM READY has been very consistent this season, comes from the Baillargeon barn and will offer a short price again this week. (2) J CS JAKE draws inside and hasn't been worse than second in each of his last three. (3) COLD CERTIFIED went a big mile last week and can't be overlooked.

Race 11

(8) I C D MOOLAH has been a main threat all season with his overall record and will get attention in here once again after last week’s win. (5) INCOGNITO has won each of his last two starts and draws better this week. (1) COWBOY CODY has hit the board in two of his last three starts, comes from the Cirasuola barn and is a logical option for the triactor.

Northfield: Monday 12/15 Analysis + Pick Four ticket
By Jeremey Day

DRF HARNESS

Race 8 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Jeremey’s $1 Pick Four Play:

1,2,5 / 7 / 2,4,5,7,8,9 / 4,9 = $36

Best Bet: VICTORY IS COMING (9th)

Spot Play: RAMEMBER (15th)

Race 1

(1) CANNONBALL filly gets the best post off a nice win against slightly better. (4) CHIP'S DREAMER has some question marks coming off the judges scratch but does benefit from a huge driver change. (7) LASER LUCY trotting mare makes her first start for new connections and has room to improve.

Race 2

(5) ORSE POWER gelding makes his second start for the top barn in the country; big chance. (2) FORTUNE'S JENNA pulled a nice upset last out with a big rally; threat. (4) CC BIG BOY SAM had a lot of pace late in the mile last week and could be a factor with a smooth trip.

Race 3

(4) ACTION SJ well bred trotter is on a roll and will look to sweep past late. (1) SUZELLE HANOVER mare could be starting to turn a corner. The 4-year-old was the driver's choice and gets the best post. (5) MARY'S DARVIN is the horse to beat on paper, however the trotter gets a suspect pilot in the bike; use caution.

Race 4

(1) JAGGER BLUE CHIP looks very tough to beat from the rail; short price. (4) SAND HICKORY has been a different horse as of late and showed a big burst of speed last out before tiring. (6) TOLEDO BEND GATOR owns a big late kick and just needs a good setup for a piece.

Race 5

(8) HEZA RUBE needs some racing luck but will offer a monster price and the gelding can flat out fly when he gets rolling. (2) BUCKEYE MAN keeps the top pilot and will be tough to keep off the ticket if he stays trotting. (1) FORTUNE SAILOR is deceptively sharp right now and just needs some pace to close into for his best chance.

Race 6

(3) VERTIGO HANOVER makes his first start for new connections who do well in this scenario. (1) TEST OF WILL also makes his first start for new connections with the best post. (9) PHANTOM FLASHER should be in line for a ground-saving trip at a price.

Race 7

(1) CHARLIE B had a tough trip last start but owns ability with the rail. (6) IMA NUISANCE will offer a big price and finds a wide open and evenly matched field. (9) JET SET STYLE owns only one win on the year but has been improved in his last three.

Race 8

In a tough race to gauge (1) CHEYENNE MOISHE gets post relief and has been pacing better than his lines indicate. (5) MYBROTHERGEORGE owns wins against open company on the year which is much tougher than these. (2) STORMY WEST well bred stallion makes his first start in a new barn; threat.

Race 9

(7) VICTORY IS COMING mare picks up a huge driver change and gets a post edge on her main rival. (8) THE NORTHERN DUDE will look to make it four straight but will have a much tougher time posted outside. (2) ACTION-BROADWAY mare makes her third start back off a layoff and owns back class but is probably best used underneath.

Race 10

(4) BETTOR'S CHOICE was impressive last out and should offer value with a competent drive from a different pilot. (2) TOP OF THE MARK will be tough to catch with an easy lead up front. (9) REAL FUTURE raced huge last out and gets a much better starting post; threat.

Race 11

(4) BETTOR WIN gelding does his best racing upfront and will look to take no prisoners early. (9) ONHISHONOR HANOVER is in the same boat as the top choice but will have to work out a smooth trip from the second tier. (6) MIDNIGHT DRAGON just missed at this level a few starts ago and will offer a big price.

Race 12

In a wide open and evenly matched race (4) KIASMA gets sent out for an inconsistent trainer but is due for a big mile any week. (2) TUNEARIFFIC owns tons of back class and when right has more ability than most of the field. (7) DVCFLYINGFRENCHMAN could be the sleeper in the race at a price with some racing luck.

Race 13

(9) P L DRAGON has made the most money in the field by far and was the driver's choice. The pacer faces significantly easier and just needs to work out a trouble-free trip for a big piece. (3) ALLAMERICAN PEWTER was parked the mile last out but could be one of few threats to the top choice with an easy lead. (5) HEAD OF THE BARN has been pacing some nice miles and keeps a top driver.

Race 14

(1) IRA'S BIG GUY could be the horse to beat in the series setting a lifetime mark last out; fires early. (3) LEGAL BRIEF should be in a good spot for a piece late. (9) LITTLE PRINCE driver opted elsewhere but the pacer had been racing gamely for a hot barn.

Race 15

In a good betting race (6) RAMEMBER jumps up with big efforts from time to time and will offer a nice price; driver's choice. (3) FIERCE DESIRE finds a weak field full of question marks and has shown a decent burst of speed. (5) DALLAS SEELSTER needs some racing luck but finds a suspect bunch.
