Some people will, and you're assuming she hits her target. If you miss, you're in trouble.
OK fine. Maybe a taser is not the right approach.

But this was a string of armed robberies, people were not getting shot. That was not his MO, and the cops knew that.

You can tell in the video he had 0% intention of actually shooting someone.

I guess I just think they could have devised something to capture this guy and bring him to actual justice, instead of just killing him. And probably could have done it even more safely, considering she is the one who discharged a weapon around a bunch of kids.

I don't like the idea of cops playing judge, jury, and executioner.

You can't tell that in the video, and while he hasn't shot anyone yet, that doesn't mean he won't at some point. It is common for criminals to grow more violent as their crime spree continues. The best way to prevent yourself from being killed by a cop is to not hold people up at gun point.

Never understand it when law enforcement chooses to use lethal force when non-lethal force would clearly suffice. Rubber bullets, taser, shoot him in the leg, something. She aimed right for dude's chest and boom, done.

He's a piece of shit but I'm not gonna go so far as to say he deserves instant death.
c'mon are you for real?

It had to be done - but you wish kids/teenagers didn't have to resort to this kind of shit to start with but it is easier to try to take from others than earn it yourself, I guess. High risk / low reward.

This was a planned sting in response to a repeat crime. Of course they knew this guy would show up and start waving a gun around.

So they're sitting around planning, and it comes up: "ok this guy is gonna show up and pull a gun and start demanding money. What's the plan when that happens?" I just can't believe the answer was "Discharge your weapon in a crowd of children. Try to shoot him in the chest to make sure he dies."

This was not some spur of the moment situation where a cop acted on instinct. This was literally the plan.

I don't like the idea of cops scheming to kill an armed robber. It is not their place to determine punishment like that.

No one is playing judge or jury...He pulled a gun out on a crowd with a law enforcement officer present, he made his own choice. But you are just trying to stir the pot on this. Im guessing you shit your pants if that situation happen to you in real life. The video evidence speaks for itself that woman is a take action person, you however are a monday morning QB second guessing a woman that clearly has more balls than yourself.

You have no clue about real life or how law enforcement works...NONE. That woman has 10 times the balls you do. That situation went exactly how it was supposed to go down once he pulled the gun. Argue for attention all you want, Im sure you consider yourself the smartest guy in the room, but I bet the bank you shit your pants if you were standing on that corner. And she did not fire into a crowd, she put it where it was suppose to go, please tell me you are a firearms expert and know better than that officer.

Hahaha who the fuck are you? I care far less about this than you think I do.

This isn't about balls, or shitting my pants, or being the smartest person in the room, or arguing for attention, or being a firearms expert, so I'm not sure why you're going all these weird places with it. I just presented an alternate viewpoint.

Now piss off you fucking douchebag. I'm out because I truly don't give a fuck.

Who am I? I am the guy that is telling you that your "alternative viewpoints" are not viewpoints but just plain bad ideas. When someone pulls a live firearm on a group of women and children there are no alternatives. But I am sure you would have talked the gun away hollywood style or come in full force swat team and taken him down without incident. It is always a good idea to have actually practiced/trained/or been in an actual situation before you start throwing out "what shoulda been done" You remind of the people that look for someone to hold them back from fighting someone. Id much rather piss away than shit my pants wanker.
