If you happen to read people writing Joe Lauzon is over rated or he was dominated by Kenny Florian has no clue what they are talking about. I'm talking about the people who also thought Stephan Bonnar was a safe bet. You know who you are. Watch the fight again. Lauzon came out fast and looked great on the ground. He passed the guard he set up submissions...but he was 22 and gassed out in the second facing one of the elites in the division. He scored takedowns and did well on his feet and improves everytime he walks into the ring. People who bet Stephens really know nothing and just want money on an underdog. Lauzon is being developed to be on PPV events and is this sports future. I wonder why they gave him Bradley after his loss?? Confidence. Why was Stephens not on the card? Because he is not a champion and they threw him in there because he is the only sorry ass willing to jump in there with Joe. Talk about Stephens' loss to Din Thomas...Now thats sad. I know Cain is my lock of the night hands down. A close second is Joe Lauzon. The reason is the Jeremy Stephens fight vs Rafeal dos Anjos in UFC 91. This is a perfect example of why you should watch fights and not just look at results on paper. Rafael ended round one nearly dislocating the shoulder of Jeremy. Jeremy was taken down when Rafael was in trouble on his feet, had his guard passed easily, and couldn't recompose from his back. Rafael is nothing special and clearly is not as strong as Jeremy. Jeremy also lost to Spencer Fisher, an opponent who also fought Dan Lauzon-Joes bro-. Dan was in total control and dominating, until he gassed late in the round, at only 18 years of age. Joe Lauzon is vulnerable to a wrestler with great takedowns and a great base. Jeremy does not fit this profile. Stephens is also very predictable with his strikes and vulnerable to takedowns. I saw this time and time again in his fights, especially with Rafael. He also winds up before he tries to throw a KO blow and has to set his feet in order to pull it off. Joe Lauzon will not just stand and wait for this to happen and force Jeremy to fight on the ground.
I think Cain and Joe Lauzon is a lock in a parlay, and will also play Dan Miller and Cain Velasquez in a parlay to cover myself on either end. <!-- / message -->

I read Terpek's post and he talks about how sad he is for the booing, yet he's the same fan who buys and watches the ultimate knockout videos that destroy the sport. People think Rosholt was going to win because they are so used to seeing the stronger person win. They think MMA is about strength and its not yet MMA continues to favor the wrestler and stronger opponent. In UFC 1-3 they kept track of fighting styles to see which was the best. Wrestling was second in winning % because they always tapped. The game strongly favors wrestlers and its a shame. Stephens would have lost his last fight in the 1st round if it were 6 minute rounds. I'm not acting tough. I'm not posting threats to anyone. I'm sick of listening to people who think they have a grasp on this sport and it's a joke to see people still backing Stephens after he lost.

I don't really dig onemorebet's style either and I think he's got some serious issues with his overly E-motional online superiority complex. Still, you guys can simply ignore the guy and avoid posting in his thread.

onemorebet: good job with the picks. I had the same ones. More often than not we will do well by picking guys that are -600, -350, -200 (x2). Sometimes we will get bit. Don't mistake this endeavor of (mostly) luck for absolute skill.

Even if it is the same person I honestly don't care as long as he's being a productive poster I'm fine & I personally had a beef with onemorebet...he acted like an ass & brought nothing to the forum
So far OnePlayAtATime has been a productive member of the community so I'm good with him being here even though I did wonder if they were the same person
