as bad as stoke projects, the side liverpool are putting out today is not too much to write home about....a top 6 finish with this squad should get brendan knighted...i saw all i had to of a washed up Kolo playing center back the last few years whenever the wop threw him a bone...now, he starts on merseyside?(allow me to cleanup my spilled coffee from the giggles)...don't agree w/chelski on top...think it(title) stays in greater manchester yet again....hopefully blue side, but wouldn't shock me in least if red side took it down again...can not argue w/history nor chemistry even without ol' red nose n the ongoing posturing of shrek to chelski...cheers good luck this season on the other side of town,,,,,but not too much

rarely glad to see liverpool win but glad to get the stoke u40 points bet off to a zero point start. liverpool are still shit....

as a united fan i don't bet against them but i'd be happy with a point. leaving the best player in england on the bench and using giggs in a #10 role is ridiculous...rain and wind, lots of passing, few chances. i'll say 1-1 but don't see united winning

Palace will have a lot of work to just find 30 points this year. I'll look out for OPTA stats on this match as I'm fairly certainly they had more side-to-side passes and backpasses than ones that gained territory. Last year they were 2nd highest scorers and allowed most goals of anyone in top 11 in the Championship but none of that attack was evident today. Probably 0-3 and a win was deserved but what i took away is how incredibly futile Palace will be

RT,

Do you give any of the newly promoted EPL teams a decent chance to stay up? My numbers suggest both Hull and Palace have a high probability of going down, but I give Cardiff a decent shot at 14-17 on the table. I actually give Palace a better chance in comparison to Hull, but i suspect both have a high probability of being in jeopardy.

I think one of them, likely Cardiff, will stay up at the expense of Stoke

Palace will go down...no doubt, and might not see 28 points. their team market value is approx 43M which is less than 1/10th City and with Zaha now at United they have nothing. They only added $12M from last year and most of that was gayle who's hardly a big quality guy. Thought they'd give a bale-less spurs a decent match today and were outshot something like 20-5 at home. terrible team

Hull at least brought in a couple guys that played in epl last year so i see them in the 34-38 point range narrowly getting relegated. Cardiff strong transfers and can certainly eclipse 40 points

Stoke are done for...I only needed to see a few mins of them yesterday to know they can be annihilated thru their non existent center midfield(a recipe for disaster v. A team like city who love to play up middle) and their Swiss cheese/matador left fullback...which teams like Utd, and a spurs/w/bale will abuse....you can't seriously enter new season w/crouch as your lone up front weapon...a stiff wind in October will blow him into the 2nd tier of the Britannia ...

small total in spain 5pm

Sevilla/Atletico o2.5 .78u to win 1u

Sevilla were 14-5 over 2.5 at home last year with avg well over 3 gpg (38-19 over 2.5 L57 league home games in L3 years) ... both teams lost their big strikers so pretty risky but just a small bet

Mon 3pm EPL

City/Newcastle
- didn't have much interest in match but just heard Newcastle are not playing their best player, Cabaye, as they likely accepted Arsenal's offer for him. He's not even on the bench. This will not be good for Castle team spirit and I don't see how they can keep from a big defeat. Not impressed with City in preseason but let's be honest....they have top to bottom the best players in this league and can bring guys like Negredo and Nasri off the bench. H2H very ugly ... City 5 straight wins by 2+ goals and 7 straight wins overall. Also 11-2-0 L13 meetings. City's current player valuation is 480M euro and Newcastle is just 169M and that's with Cabaye as their highest valued player ... City added over 100M euros to their payroll in offseason, Newcastle after cabaye is sold will have dropped approx 15M in payroll. In today's lineup Aguero is worth half the Newcastle XI

City -1.5 1.5u to win 1.28u
City to lead HT .5u to win .35u
